Andrew Scheer and the Saudi Monsters

It's a grisly story. The disturbing allegations that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had the dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi murdered and dismembered.

It has leaders all over the world reassessing their relationship with the barbaric desert kingdom and its perfumed prince.

Justin Trudeau is once again not hesitating to criticize Saudi Arabia's human rights record.

But Andrew Scheer is as mute as a carp, and for good reason.

No doubt not wanting to remind Canadians that when Saudi Arabia declared war on Canada a couple of months ago, he was missing in action.

Or on the wrong side.

Refusing to condemn the power drunk Prince Salman, and instead attempting to undermine his own government for crass political purposes.

And now that the barbaric desert dwellers are threatening the whole world.

I expect him to redouble his efforts to try to blame Justin Trudeau...

With whom he has less in common than he has with the misogynistic, homophobic Prince Salman.

But then what do we expect from a man like Scheer?

He tried to undermine the government during the NAFTA talks, and now he's trying to do the same thing with his Great Scam Tour of India.

And once again he's looking ridiculous.

Or looking like a traitor or a coward...

You know, it's really quite simple.

When a would be Prime Minister can't put his country before his party.

He is unfit to lead that country, and should resign immediately...

At least Khashoggi supported Canada when no one else did ...

    1. Hii UU...Who knows maybe that was the reason Prince Salami had him killed. And one thing is for sure, Canada found itself all alone when it criticized Saudi Arabia's foul human rights record. But not any longer. Now we look practically prophetic...

The fact that he and the Saudi lunatic share a similar theocratic belief system is simply a nice bonus for Scheer. He probably just wants to sell oil to them (coals to Newcastle?) like he was reportedly gabbing about with Modi in India. Harper sold them the wheat board, what else is left for Andy to promise? Beat Max at his own stupid game (and say au revoir to any votes he might otherwise get from any Islamophobes in Québec) by proffering the dairy farms? He can't open the door to them buying real estate, unless he wants to alienate even more of his racist base who's already angered that he "pandered to multiculturalism" with his pointless passage to India.

Maybe he wants to ship the national broadcaster over to Riyadh, so that Salman can do Andy's dirty work and literally "axe" the CBC's news division. (Although they wouldn't get much in the deal, if they're overpaying for journalists only to get low-quality clickbaiters from Postmedia.) Suffice it to say he's not thinking of any deals himself; it's his Harperite handlers, who are as aware as everyone else that Andy's not quite the sharpest sword in the drawer...

    1. Hi Jackie...yes, I'm sure the Oil Pimp Club had a lot to do with the way Scheer reacted to our government's criticism of Saudi Arabia's hideous human rights record. As well as Scheer's theocratic views, and his inability to put his country before his party. But the good news is that all of this can only taint Scheer and his Cons further, and sooner or later they will pay the piper...

    1. Hi Steve...I try to avoid all those Ottawa pundit shows, since they are all cut from the same cloth, and recycle the same garbage. Our wretched Con media doesn't seem to realize that they are only hurting themselves...

    1. Hi Simon...I try to mock the Cons as much as I can. It's my way of resisting them. But since Scheer is such a creepy religious fanatic, Scheeria Law is a real threat. For who knows what he might do if he ever became Prime Minster...

  5. Trudeau is no better then Scheer, Justin all hot air, but he won't cancel the contract helping Saudi Arabia fight it's war of mass murder against Yeman. I don't give as shit about a signed contract, that became void when it involved the mass murder of innocents. In fact butchering innocents should void any connected contracts that Canada and any businesses that do business in Canada has with murderous business partners.

    2. Hi Gyor...please try to get your facts right. The contract with Saudi Arabia was signed by the Harper government. We are selling them fewer and fewer armoured cars, and they are not being used against Yemen which is an air war not a ground one. Also I don't mind the Saudis paying working class Canadians, and if we wanted to hurt the Prince and his thugs the best thing we can do is stop buying their oil. Finally, if you really think Trudeau is no better than Scheer you need to give your head a shake, or buy a new pair of glasses...

Thanks for reminding me Simon about how badly the Cons behaved. I had also forgotten how isolated we were for daring to criticize the Saudi human rights record. But not any longer. Thank goodness for Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeau. ❤️

    1. Hi anon...You're welcome, it's easy to forget some of the horrible things the Cons have done, But I was proud of our government for taking on the Saudis, the over the top reaction of that filthy regime only made me prouder. And now the whole world can see who those murderers really are...

Poor Cons, its so hard to promote good wedge issues these days. First it was Carbon Tax and then the latest scientific study and Nobel prize winning economist recommends carbon pricing as the preferred solution. Then it was wailing about arrogant Trudeau and Freeland for calling out the Saudis on human rights only to find that they not only jail but murder dissenting journalists. Then there was the Indian junket only to find that his base perceived him as a globalist who supports religious diversity. Whats next ... ethical dilbit is not so ethical and has to be sold to the Koch alliance at a non profitable discount regardless of how many pipelines are built. Perhaps weak Andy disses Trudeau to the point that the horse shoe effect kicks in causing his base to abandon the Trudeau doppelganger in favor of Mad Max. Well at least he will always have his smile to fall back on.

    1. HI RT....yes, can you believe it? The cons are running out of wedge issues, and it's all going horribly wrong. It shouldn't be surpring though, since the Cons have been making it up as they go along. They have no political platform since Scheer deleted his as soon as he won the Con leadership. All they can do is attack what others say or do, and that's not likely to impress many Canadians. Their base will lap it up, but most will be disgusted...

Scheer hopes he can ride this to political success.

The Saudi's did this because they knew what they could get away with. The envelope has been pushed a lot further within the last 2 years. Putin can have his political enemies killed and all is good. So why not give it a try if you're a Saudi prince. We have seen the envelope Trump keeps pushing in the U.S.A. and its working well for him. They have ceased to be a free and democratic country. Just remember the Kav. hearings. guys like the prince love that sort of stuff. The U.S.A put children in concentration camps, Trump got real cozy with Kim 3 so why not kill a journalist. Who is going to complain? Not the American president or people like Scheer who want to join the club.

I'm waiting for them to kill an American journalist on American soil and nothing will be done.
