Mitt Romney, the Billionaire, and the Scissor Sister

When I watch this latest attack ad from the Mitt Romney campaign, I can't help thinking how desperate he must be, and how much money he must have.

If he can outspend even Obama.

“I will be the first president in modern history to be outspent in his reelection campaign, if things continue as they have so far,” Obama wrote. “I'm not just talking about the super-PACs and anonymous outside groups — I'm talking about the Romney campaign and the Republicans themselves. Those outside groups just add even more to the underlying problem.”

Democrats are increasingly worried about the fundraising prowess of Republican-affiliated super-PACs. Billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has pledged massive sums to various Republican-affiliated campaigns and PACs.

So I'm really glad that Sarah Silverman has made Sheldon Adelson, the unofficial chairman of the Romney Billionaires Club, and the super hawk on Israel.

You know, this guy....

An offer he surely can't refuse.

If he gives $100 million to Obama instead of Romney.

She will personally scissor him to fruition...

You know, even for a $100 million I can't help feeling that Sarah is sacrificing herself too cheaply. But then these are desperate times eh?

Anyone willing to scissor bottom Stephen Harper to fruition, in return for a promise to retire?

Nah. I didn't think so. He'd only break that promise.

Welcome to Harperland.

God bless America...

If Americans spent as much money on social programs as they do to get elected, things might be a lot better in the U.S.A.

it would appear many Americans don't understand they & the billionaires club have nothing in common & the billionaires don't care about them either. Mitty had a $77K tax deduction for his horse. That is more than most Americans make in a yr. Do people really think he gets how they live?

  2. hi e.a.f....It's frightening isn't it? Each side is aiming for a BILLION dollars. And yes it never ceases to horrify me how the rich manage to recruit the poor into serving the interests of the one percent. They use religion, racism, gay marriage and all kinds of wedge issues to distract them from the real problems of economic inequality, and lead them to the slaughter. It's worse than just horrible, it's an absolute nightmare...
