The Monkey Cartoon and the Homophobe

By now you've probably read about the controversy that has erupted in the U.S. over this New York Post cartoon.

And whether it's racist or not.

But I don't have any doubts it is...because when you hear stimulus bill you think Obama. Because the U.S. is a racist country. And because the guy who drew it is known as the "Picasso of Prejudice."

And foul slimy RepubliCon homophobes are usually racists as well. Once hate enters the body it spreads like a DISEASE.

So I not only consider the cartoon clearly racist, but I also find it disturbingly violent. And the wrong kind of message to send out in a country full of deranged people who hate Obama with a passion. Because he's black...or the Anti Christ.

Oh boy. Amerika the Beautiful. Too bad they shot the monkey.

Too bad we can't lock these cretinous homophobes and racists in a cage eh?

And pelt them with rotten peanuts...

  1. Ok, it's been reported that a pet chimpanzee was shot to death by cops in Stamford on the weekend, a place not far from said highlighted cartoonist I guess, so he has at least the thin edge of the wedge of an excuse, reducing it to "this package was written by a monkey" in the 'mess' meaning of the idea. That presumes he's a faithful Republican ideologue.

But, without any such context, hooboy. You'd think the editors would have been atop a cartoonist playing off a local story to a national audience. Eeeyah.

  2. Hi Niles...yes I know the monkey was a big story...and a very sad one too. And as you point out it does give him a "wedge of an excuse." But having seen just some of what this guy has drawn before I don't buy it. I'm not demanding that they fire the guy, but I thought it was a very ugly violent and racist cartoon.
    And yeah...where WERE his editors?
