So I was feeling great the other day, and dreaming about the even sunnier days ahead.
Then I remembered that Pierre Poilievre was holding a rally that evening, just TWO blocks away. And my day clouded over quickly.
So along with their bought media they could make it look like nothing could stop his triumphant march to power.
But I needn't have fretted. The event was a total bust.
But a lot of the younger ones, in their dark suits, looked to me like Bay Street slaves, brought in from just up the street, to try to make it look like even Toronto was Poilievre Country.
When of course it isn't, and never will be.
And this is only one of the many reasons why:
The Cons are just too ugly for most decent Canadians...
The crowd in Toronto goes wild when Pierre Poilievre mentions defunding the CBC.

Can you believe that? Was that a fascist howl or what?
Why do Poilievre and his Cons hate our beautiful country so much?
The Steam Whistle's bosses tried to disassociate themselves from all that Con ugliness...
Having realized, albeit too late, that hosting Poilievre could cost them quite a few customers.
But of course, the good news is that un-Canadian ugliness is precisely what will eventually take down the Cons.
For while it might help Poilievre win the leadership race.
It won't help him win a general election.
The race to become the next leader of the Conservative Party appears to be Pierre Poilievre’s to lose, according to a new poll, that also suggests he may not be able to broaden the party’s appeal.
The poll found Charest is viewed more favourably among Liberal voters (40 per cent) than Conservatives (27 per cent) while Poilievre — who nearly half of Liberal and NDP voters view negatively — is seen by 50 per cent of Conservative voters as the most favourable candidate.
Among Canadians in general, all of the candidates were seen more negatively than positively.
The Con leadership race is already threatening to tear the party apart.
So it's shaping up to be a real bust.
Or should I say a real BITCH...
While our shabby media inhales his fetid farts, and proclaim him to be the most exciting Con leader since...um...Stephen Harper.
But it won't be long before before his shiny glass coach is replaced by a pumpkin, and his tail feathers fall off, scorched by one sordid scandal after the other.
The crypto maniac and his fascist Cons aren't going anywhere. We'll make sure of that.
And their day is almost over...
Oh simon. PP in a tutu is gonna be hard to unsee. Kind of like Putin dressed as Mother Theresa. It is however, kind of analogous to his recent rallys for those in the "one foot in the grave" and "a few bricks short of a full load" clubs. He darts and he pivots as he tilts and he twirls. He jumps and he splits as the flag unfurls to the chants of "FREEDUMB"! Or more like free and dumb. It's a sick and twisted version of "The Flight of the Pigeon" or "Harper's Spawn Lake".
ReplyDeleteThese rally's are so deja vu to the Trumpy ones of not so long ago, complete with a gushing media, fanatical dummies and a barking carnival clown. He is risen as all sense and sensibility falls. I doubt PP will ever be a serious threat to JT in an election but his and his acolytes hateful rhetoric sure is. They will further divide us and will further inspire someone to act out on their deranged hatred towards JT. I hope Justin's security detail is top notch and something like this doesn't happen as did to a former PM. If you pause at 25 seconds you'll see the exact moment Steve shit his pants.

Puerile Pigeon's Twitler Youth are probably the minority fringe of Petersonian lobsterkin and Kyle Rittenhouse wannabes who congregate on incel forums and short GameStop for a "living". The vast majority of younger people who are not testicle-toasting Tucker trolls are allergic to anything coming from the right. Toronto is a defiantly diverse Liberal fortress, as demonstrated by the loud and visceral boos that erupted during the Raptors playoff game in 2019 when Weak Andy showed up (and Doug the Thug, the only chump at the champs' parade).
ReplyDeletePierre Putin wants to intimidate those on the centre left or left of centre by creating the Potemkin illusion that he is assembling his very own Z (or Zed) Army. I find that claim to be incredibly dubious as I'm not sure he got that far in the alphabet. Perhaps he learned Florida math, as evidenced by his inability to count a crowd; bereft of Social-Emotional Literacy, however, he obviously knows how to "read" his audience. What he doesn't seem to get is that his mini-MAGA cult is not the broader electorate, who find him a Repulsive, Repugnant Republican. Now there's 3 Rs that he better get used to. Might I suggest mailing some additional informative material to his constituency office, for him to pretend to "read" while jubilantly defying mask protocols on an airplane? Once again, I can't recommend this series enough. The pigeon is a juvenile delinquent; therefore, the pigeon has to get schooled.

The thing I love about you, Simon, is your clear-eyed view that it can happen here. It can. Pierre Poutine's fascist based popularity within the Con movement is proof. We are not immune to Gilead here, despite what the mainstream media implies. Danger is at the door. Keep it up!!!! And thanks!!
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiosity, did (or does) Pierre Poillievre ever made speeches in both languages? With the issues regarding the CN corporation here in Montreal, not only it ticked me so much but I was wondering how I would confront him on the fact that he is fluently billingual (franco-albertan origins) but only speaks english in rallys outside of Quebec where I bet that unillingual anglophones will yawn and not willing to understand what he's saying in the french language. Which is why he will only speak the language of the majority rather than both languages from sea to sea. Damn I hope my sleeping nationalism didn't take the hold of me, as all critics are making it a fear propaganda of being extinct like the dinosaurs when in fact Europe seems to have the same issues (just like the freedom of speech culture of course which when looking at it, seems really vague on what Trudeau's opponents really want).
ReplyDeleteHi JD...Poilievre might as well be dressed in a tutu for all the serious political criticism he is receiving. There is yet another flattering review in the Globe today, where after heaping him with praise for the crowds he is attracting, the reviewer waits for the end to mention that his policies don't make sense. But what the hell he's a man of the people. It's beyond belief, and our shabby MSM is allowing that fascist to get away with murder, even though he isn't just a danger to this country, he's a danger to the planet with his plans to dismantle all our efforts to fight climate change and build more pipelines. I still believe that a few years as opposition leader will deflate him, and expose him as a con man, but it offends me to see somebody spout absolute nonsense and get away with it. I also got a close up look at some of his supporters, and I have absolutely no doubt that some of them could be dangerous. I was amused to see that video of Harper sitting like a turkey while a protester holds up a sign behind him. But that's all Harper had to deal with, while Trudeau has been the target of violent threats and actions, and Poilievre's demagoguery only encourages people like the terrorist truckers....
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie....Poilievre is scoring points with some young Canadians who are frustrated by their inability to even dream about owning a house. But although he stirs up that frustration he has absolutely nothing to offer them, since his "plans" are nothing but quackery. The MSM should be educated enough to expose that quackery, but they prefer to focus on his rallies either because they are too lazy, or too Con.
ReplyDeleteAs I told JD, I don't think the Pigeon will ever become Prime Minister, but when I took a close look at some of his supporters I was shocked at how sinister some of them looked, and I'm absolutely convinced that sooner or later they will threaten our democracy. The media needs to take a close look at who is funding Poilievre's crusade before it's too late. As for the Pigeon books I think my favourite title is "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus" for there won't be much left of this country if he does....
Hi Brian...Thank you. Calling out fascism in this country can be a lonely business. Many Canadians don't seem to think that something so awful could happen here. But unfortunately fascists are on the march all over the place, from Hungary, to France, to the United States, and it's a dangerous delusion to believe it couldn't happen in Canada. The Covid pandemic and the measures that had to be taken to control it deeply affected and angered many Canadians, and people like Poilievre are taking advantage of that to push their anti-social ideas. They are stirring up a murderous hatred of Justin Trudeau, and although our country is in much better shape than others, who knows where that hatred might take us. Canadians need to demand more of their politicians and their media, ad start seeing fascism as the real threat it is. We don't have to put up with this growing menace, and I certainly won't...
ReplyDeleteHi MyWorld 1916....I am told that Poilievre speaks French fluently, but I have never heard him speak it in English Canada. But I'm not surprised, his kind of supporters are notoriously bigoted against anything Quebec, and the last thing they want to hear is anything in French. We'll see how he does if he is elected Con leader, and I would really like to see him take on Justin Trudeau in the French debates.
ReplyDeleteAt this point I don't think Poilievre would stand a chance, but then he is Canada's Le Pen, and we live in crazy times, so who knows?
PP says "You buy crypto, I'll buy real estate to rent out"
ReplyDeleteHas the Pigeon pooped post-haste?
ReplyDeleteIn a back and forth with CTV, Poilievre had to defend his owning of property he sublets to others "At a very reasonable price" and then had to answer for his wife taking out a $400,000 loan on property she paid much, much less for and he stumbled, he stammered, he stewed and he shat the bed, rather like a Pigeon would.
Make no mistake this clip will be used by the Liberal war room, and that they are likely having snacks and drinks laughing about it. And don't even get me started on the debates, whether CPC or cross-party, where this will be brought up ad nauseam...
It was a nice run, Skippy, now bring on the next contestant on "Trudeau Ain't Right!"
Hi anon@1038AM….Yes, it looks like Poilievre just can’t keep his nose clean, and as I said in this post, we are going to bring him down with scandal after scandal…..
ReplyDeleteHi Pierre...yes, as I predicted, it wouldn't be long before the nasty Pigeon flew into trouble. He's got so much excrement in this feathers I don't know where to begin. But if he wins the Con Lolapalooza we'll have three long years to bring them out one after the other, so there's plenty of time for us to have fun, and drive him and his corrupt party into internal exile. I still don't understand why the Cons are poised to pick Poilievre as their leader, but it's a historic mistake and it could cost those losers EVERYTHING...
