Justin Trudeau Sends Donald Trump Another Silent Message

They have been marching all over the world to remember George Floyd, and denounce police brutality and anti-black racism.

They have been peacefully demonstrating in Canada too, from coast to coast to coast...

And in Ottawa yesterday, Justin Trudeau spoke powerfully again without saying a word.

It was quite a gesture, and a brave one too, considering how many Cons and other toxic Trudeau haters would dearly love to hurt or kill him.

So I was glad to see how people from all over the political spectrum appreciated what he did.

Occasionally it is a moment to set aside adversarial partisan politics, to rise above daily #cdnpoli, to acknowledge the offices rather than the incumbents, and to add our voices to a message conveyed on behalf of our country 🇨🇦.
It was also another clear message to Donald Trump who has demanded that NOBODY SHOULD KNEEL !!#@!!

So needless to say the Ugly American Andrew Scheer was not there, he dares not offend his master or his rabid Trumpanzee base would tear him to pieces.

He only rushes out of parliament to meet yellow vested bigots...

And salute them as only he could.

But that's OK, he wasn't missed. We have a real Canadian Prime Minister...

A prime minister who is defending our precious Canadian values.

One who is taking on bigots, misogynists, homophobes, the filthy American Cons, and our own racism.

And hopefully leading this country to an even better place...

  1. It's a shame Trudeau can't contrive a way to get Scheer to topple the government in the midst of this. I would like to see the Conservatives smashed utterly and reduced to an Albertan rump party. Then the fetid stench of fascism will be limited to the odd breeze across the provincial border.

    1. Unfortunately, unless the Cons split again, they're not going to be a rump party. Come on Mad Max!!!!

    2. It's a shame some brilliant Canadian scientist can't figure a way to clone him so we can borrow him for the next six months as interim president!

    1. Nobody cares about his damn yearbook besides racist Rebel scum Cons who don't want to change their own far worse behavior, and radical alt-left purists who equate forgiveness with selling out.

"I am not perfect, but not being perfect is not a free pass to not do the right thing."

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, for thou shalt not make perfection the enemy of the good. Or something like that.

  3. Yes, I know, cheering on a Fascist like Mad Max to gain traction isn't the answer either. Still, some sort of Con splintering would helpful for the cause of love, respect, and humanity.

  4. Scheer thought he could repeat his "trip to the cottage" media frenzy. so he started complaining about how Trudeau wasn't "social distancing" when he attended the rally. But the media didn't bite this time, because that ship has sailed.

  5. not a direct ref to Lenoard Cohn. I believe everything in Jews call the Torah and what my people culturally appropriated are fragments of a past destroyed by an apocalypse beyond Black Lives Matter forming the government.

Today we do have the tower of Babel. Is it enough to collapse civilization. I think not. However some people say it happened before. My question is was it constructed of steel and what airplane hit it? Did it defy the laws of physics and pancake in its own footprint?

  6. Hi Sixth Estate...Did you say Rump Party or Trump Party? If the Liberals manage to win another majority I can see a major split, and both sides fighting each other for years. I think I'd enjoy that a lot...

  7. Hi Steve....The Cons are still trying to revive the blackface "scandal" But Trudeau has apologized and Canadians have forgiven him, so the Cons are just making themselves look idiotic..

  8. Hi Brian... As I told Sixth Estate, I can't see the Cons being reduced to a rump. But I can see them splintering and fighting among themselves if Trudeau manages to win another majority. When all you have are two Harperite hacks fighting it out for the Con leadership, and both depending on the support of two social conservatives to win, I think a majority is very possible. And it would all but destroy the Cons...

  9. Hi Jackie...I apologize to you and the others for answering your comments in a pile at the bottom. But something is screwy with the Blogspot commenting system, so I have no choice. As for the Con racists, I too find it disgusting that they should still try to smear Trudeau as a racist when he clearly isn't. I saw a short documentary on blackface around the time of Al Jolson the other day, and judging by that doc what Trudeau did wasn't really blackface because he didn't have the big white lips. He saw it as theatrical makeup, and wasn't designed to put down anyone. But hey, thanks to the Con media context doesn't have a chance in this country....

  10. Hi Cathie....I couldn't believe Scheer complaining about social distancing when he has refused to wear a mask, and piled his whole family on to a Challenger jet for a trip across the country. All it made him look like was even more racist, and even more tone deaf...

  11. Hi Steve...are you suggesting that a plane hit the Tower off Babel? Sorry I can't help you, mercifully I'm not religious...

  12. Simon -- A split would be grand.

According to the latest 338 projection today's polls would have the Liberals up around 200 seats and the Conservatives likely less than 100. Liberals with a 30-point lead in the Maritimes, 15 point lead in Ontario, and even leading in BC.

If an election was held under these circumstances it would lay waste to the Conservative Party outside the prairie provinces.

  13. Hi all -- I'm just returning to this post (and the screwed-up commenting system) to put out there in the universe that I wish for Minister Champagne and team Canada's efforts to pay off for the UNSC bid. Shame on everyone who wants Canada to fail just to "teach Trudeau a lesson" about whatever axe they have to grind.

I was heartened by Trudeau getting implicit endorsements from Prince Charles and even Antonio Guterres himself, and I hope it's enough to persuade enough countries to vote in Canada's favor. I said the same over at Dale Smith's blog just a few moments ago, and I'm repeating it here.

Furthermore, for the future, I think the U.N. needs serious reforms, not abolition as the Cons and their inbred GOP cousins are calling for. Kick out the USA and/or Russia from their permanent seats, and put Canada at the table as a decision maker instead. The same governing body that put Saudi Arabia on the women's rights commission needs their heads examined if they think Vladimir Putin ought to be in a better position than Justin Trudeau to shape the world.

And I still dream that PMJT will become the Secretary-General someday just so all the naysayers' heads will explode. Godspeed to Minister Champagne and the whole team from an American who's rooting for them, because the world really does need more Canada.

  14. I may be off topic, okay not completely over the drop zone, but I am on target.
John Bolton who is alledgelly the mastermind behind everything bad that he has ever touched, and war crimes are not out of the question, is going after Trump in a new book. What is he going to say? "i only recommended waterboarding but the the POTUS said pull out his fingernails?"

  16. Hey Simon and all,

Hope everything's OK out there. Haven't heard from you in awhile and I don't use Twitter. We didn't take home the booby prize today, so of course the Cons and others are gnashing their teeth, pointing fingers and laughing at the "smug" Liberals for "wasting money on a vanity project." Idiots. And then Singh and Blanchet got in a big stupid fight and my first thought was fuck Parliament too, this guy is way too good for the shitshow that is our supposedly "respected institutions." I look at him and shake my head because his talents are going to waste and I don't know why he even bothers. Makes me wonder if Don Henley's words are going through his head when he has to deal with these juvenile delinquents: "I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here." Or Billy Joel's, "I'm sure that I could be a movie star, if I could get outta this place."

But I'm nevertheless sad and mad about the UNSC vote too and was even crying earlier, mostly because I knew that if he didn't make it we'd never hear the end of it from the usual suspects. I can't imagine how PMJT and the team must feel and how they deserve a long summer vacation to drown out the noise. So I wrote another letter of support to him in hopes of cheering him up. (I know he's very busy but I hope he read the other two, that I sent to lift his spirits during Blahvalin and Aladdingate.) I pointed out that from where I can see as an American, this outcome really wasn't his fault. In part, it was ours. And for that I apologize on behalf of my shithole country.

I still hope he gets to be the SecGen in the future if he wants. But considering how utterly broken the U.N. is and particularly the Security Council, maybe the universe has something even better in his future, and maybe he doesn't really want that job and that idea is mere idle speculation. Maybe the something better is just to serve out his tenure with (hopefully) one more majority and then hang it up, smoke a bowl while the world burns, and find some peace for once in his tragic life. He did tell Rosie a couple years back that when he's done with politics, he wants to go back to being a teacher, and who could blame him? At least he'd be dealing with well-behaved students instead of juvenile delinquents like Jaggy, Yves Blanc Cheque, Vlad the Impaler, and Chairman Pooh Bear.

The UNSC is a dump full of palace intrigue, authoritarian hypocrisy, and corrupt back-scratching that hasn't been cleaned up in 75 years. The biggest threats to global security are the big dogs on the UNSC itself. Sure, the world needs more Canada. But as long as China, Russia and the USA stand in the way, it's pointless to begin with. Nobody is going to listen to the Normegians or the leprechauns either. And India got elected while running unopposed (!), so that's just adding more fuel to the fire and more farce to the force. It's a joke, and I wish he hadn't put so much faith and professional capital into it. It amounts to bragging rights and a participation medal and nothing more. So I simply wrote to let him know that in spite of what the naysayers may think and what the National Disgrace is going to puke out over the coming days, Canada is back in a big way and doesn't need a meritless merit badge to prove it. Trudeau's leadership means a whole lot to us as Americans, in spite of the negative influence that America in turn has had on Canada and particularly, at the UN itself.

We might need to lick our wounds tonight but still keep enough energy left over before moving on to fight another day. I'm still proud of my prime minister by proxy and will be until the day I die. Anyway, have a read, everybody, and have a good night.

  17. Lost the seat, the media has lost the message. The real story, most the world thinks giving Canada is seat is giving the US two seats.

I am so happy to see that the coronavirus has finally been eradicated, and we can have all these mass gatherings again. How do I book an appointment for my vaccination?

  19. Hi Steve....yes the corrupt Cons are at it again, and this time they are trying to cheat each other. This promises to be most entertaining, and fatal for the Con’s chances of winning the next election. Love it.

  20. Hi Jackie...Nice to hear from you again. I missed you. I’m sorry I didn’t explain why I could not blog for a while, I assumed that people People who read this blog would see me on Twitter And know at least that I am still alive. I am not up to speed on all that happened when I was away, but I wouldn’t worry about the Security Council vote. The U.N. bureaucracy is riddled with corruption, so not getting a vote of confidence there is not something we should let bother us. Also the Cons tried to make it a big issue and they didn’t get anywhere. Trudeau’s polls are rock solid, an election call in the fall should deliver a big juicy majority, and won’t that be fun....
