It's been really quiet in my neighbourhood recently. Most of the tourists have gone, the fairs are over, and most of the party boats will soon be moving to their winter berths.
Which is just as well, since I badly need some quiet time to recover from this hellish election campaign.
Which thanks to the Ugly American Andrew Scheer and his foul RepubliCons has been the filthiest and most un-Canadian campaign I have ever witnessed.
But as I crawl towards the finish line, it's a big consolation to see that Scheer is in worse shape than I am.
For he's a real mess, and everything is going wrong at exactly the wrong time.
Yesterday his claim that he should be able to form a government if he gets a few seats more than the Liberals, was dismissed as "complete nonsense."
Experts on Canada’s parliamentary system say Andrew Scheer should know better than to erroneously contend that whoever wins the most seats on Monday gets to form the government.
Which made him look like a compulsive liar. Or worse, like he's plotting a coup.
And then came this bombshell.
Warren Kinsella and his Daisy Group consulting firm worked on a secret campaign to “seek and destroy” the fledgling People’s Party of Canada and keep Maxime Bernier out of the national leaders’ debates, The Globe and Mail has learned.
A source with direct knowledge of the project said the client listed in the documents is the Conservative Party of Canada.
Which not only revealed that Warren Kinsella has been working for the Cons, and put a bullet into Scheer's claim that he is running a "positive" campaign.
It also left the Ugly American practically speechless.
When asked repeatedly by my colleague @kkirkup about the G&M story on the CPC hiring @kinsellawarren to "seek and destroy" @MaximeBernier and the PPC, Scheer said "we don't make comments on vendors we may or may not have engaged with" #cdnpoli #elxn43— Mackenzie Gray (@Gray_Mackenzie) October 19, 2019

And I mean speechless...
VIDEO: Scheer was asked again by @CBCKatie about the Warren Kinsella story pic.twitter.com/8eth2M3LJ7— CBC News Alerts (@CBCAlerts) October 19, 2019
So like Weak Andy does all the time, all he could do was run, the miserable coward.
But then to be fair, who can really blame him? This whole scandal is so disgusting, it sums up Scheer's whole sleazy campaign.
And of course, the timing couldn't be worse.
And the irony couldn't be better
I've never seen Andrew Scheer looking so uncomfortable. Another glass of water and he might have drowned !! But who can blame him? Who knew the grubby Warren Kinsella would be the one who finished him off?— 🇨🇦 Simon 🏴 🌈🏂 (@montrealsimon) October 19, 2019
Has irony ever been more delicious? #cdnpoli https://t.co/16mhlEjMjt
You know, it's now clear that Scheer and Kinsella were made for each other, and hopefully they'll both go down together.
But what I'm really hoping for is that this sordid episode will make even more Canadians realize that decency does matter.
And vote for a real Canadian leader....
I'll be back tomorrow with some final thoughts on the campaign, and maybe even a prediction.
But not before I rest some more, for the Cons are going to try to steal the election.
And we have all got to be ready....
Funny, Wornout just pushed out a ' poor poor pitiful me ' post swearing off social media forever. He stands now as the illegitimate offspring of a Rottwieler and a poodle. Not dangerous but a vicious gossip.
ReplyDeleteThat's offensive to puppies. Wormtongue could never be the "offspring" of a Rottweiler and a poodle.
DeleteHe's more like other, um... droppings.
HI rumleyfips....I saw Kinsella's pathetic plea to please please feel sorry for him, and I enjoyed every word. He deserves everything that is coming to him and more. His posts on Progressive Bloggers were so ugly and hate filled they often made me feel physically ill. So I only hope I'll never read anything from him again...
DeleteUnbelievable yet typical con. Always riling up their base against PC culture but secretly weaponizing it against their rivals. Who wants to return to times of enemies lists. Wasting thousands harassing Canadian patriots that were fighting for native children or standing up to corporatism.
ReplyDeleteHi anon....if Scheer does manage to steal the election we will be going back to the days of enemy lists. Anyone who stands up to Kenney's pipeline fanatics will be jailed or shot. The rights of women will be sent back to the 1950s and our Medicare system will be privatized beyond recognition. I've been warning of all this for more than ten years, so now if Canadians elect a Con government, I feel that they will deserve what is coming to them...
DeleteI want an RCMP investigation. If the story is true, how long have the Cons been shaping the stories that he's blown out of proportion? Example: JWR and SNC Lavalin.
ReplyDeleteHi anon....You may get your wish. The fact that Kinsella deleted his entire Twitter account strikes me as very suspicious.. And mak s me wonder what else he might be hiding....
DeleteSimon and Anon, read Amy MacPherson.
Deletehttps://freethepresscanada.org/2019/10/18/did-a-trump-operative-taint-canadian-election-with-foreign-interference/
This bizarre mess requires an international investigation.
So that unethical sleazeball accepted a contract from the Greens while working for the Conservatives? I hope this puts a dent in future business for him.
ReplyDeleteUU
Not Kinsellagate. No. How about WarScam? KinScam? WarKinScam? DaisyScam? KinDaisyScam?
ReplyDeleteHey, Jackie, you're great at this. Can you suggest something?
UU
Hi UU....I admit that KisellaGate wasn't the most inspiring choice, but Others are also using it, so it can't be that bad...😉
DeleteApparently he was selling his services as a lawyer to a client in that client's effort "to expose and oppose bigotry" and therefore "vows of confidentiality" are involved". I think I'll put a lawyer on our staff to handle certain things so investigators won't be allowed to ask anyone who would know the answers any questions when the mutilated bodies start washing ashore. Will that work?
ReplyDeleteHi John....Kinsella's note is simply pathetic, and his claim that he only did it because he hates racists somehow ignores the fact that he was paid by some of the worst racists in Canada. The man is just a husk of what he once was, which will hopefully be blown away by a cleansing wind...
Deleteno more twitter page? Coward
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Prince of Darkness will turn out have been like Darth Vader. He may have leaked this story himself, like Anakin finally threw the emperor down the reactor shaft.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it, but Metaphors Be With You!
DeleteBecause if Justin Solo wins, I'm going to dance all night to a 10-hour YouTube video of the Ewok Celebration Theme. Yub nub!
Hi anon @9:28 PM.....Kinsella is a publicity hog, but I don't think he leaked this one. If you read the Globe story it's clear that he went to great lengths to cover up his connection to the Cons. And as for his claim that he is a progressive he can forget about that now. Now he's just a member of the Loser Party....
DeleteWarren's not the only one avoiding social media (so he says?). My brother's birthday is tomorrow, and I want to be in good spirits. I made my wish for Justin's reelect back in August, but silently when he blows out his candles, I'll be making another one for the best. I'm hoping against hope that Quito Maggi, Frank Graves, the dynamic duo at Lean/Tossup and the Polly AI are correct, and that Scheer and Wornout go down in birthday candle flames on Monday night. If only Justin hadn't thrown away his magic lamp!
ReplyDelete@UU -- I can't think of a catchy scandal name, so how about a headline. "Scheer and Kinsella: Riding high in April, shot down by May!"
Two Saturdays ago, WK had his spidey sense tingling that the Globe was about to break an expose of JT banging the underage student. But they had investigated and found it not true so they did not publish. Now we're waiting again for them to publish their endorsement (star and post have done). But it's hard to publish the owners mandated "vote for CPC" like last time, when this story is on the front page.
ReplyDeleteSo there really was a conspiracy! JWR, Point Grey, brownface and the CPC, with weaponizing provided by the Daisycutter group.
Last one for the night and then I gotta do a temporary media blackout for mental health sake.
DeleteI got a star for this comment at Reddit, and IMNSHO it ought to be a Canadian(-American?) Heritage Moment.
"Warren Kinsella is a poor man's Roger Stone. He probably has a tattoo of Harper on his ass."
Thank you, try the veal -- er, moose-burger? -- and I'm here all week. And God blesh the United Shtates of Canadia!!!
Gotta love watching Scheer squirm like the snake that he is as he's exposed for his only talent as a Schmear artist. Equally gratifying was Kinsella's "defence" that he was trying to expose racism within Mad Max's party. The irony and hypocrisy of it all is absolutely biblical. The racists trying to destroy the racists so the racists can have all the racist votes. Maybe with this conundrum, the racist trash will stay home and not vote at all.
ReplyDeleteFrom the gutter to the decent, it is heartwarming that two extraordinary black people, Barrack Obama and now Martin Luther King III are endorsing Justin Trudeau to continue his great work as PM. In spite of everything, the decent still know the decent.
JD
I love this comment. You are exactly right!
DeleteFrom the gutter to the decent, it is heartwarming that two extraordinary black people, Barrack Obama and now Martin Luther King III are endorsing Justin Trudeau to continue his great work as PM. In spite of everything, the decent still know the decent.
DeleteDon't forget Masai Ujiri! HE THE NORTH!
live by the sleaze die by the sleaze. Instant Karma took away Weak Andy's respectability veneer.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you are correct.
DeleteWho is the blonde woman staring at Scheer as if she wants to make mincemeat from him?
ReplyDeleteIt looks kinda like his wife giving a reporter her post procreate look.
DeleteJD
Hi lagatta....That's Leona Alleslev the Liberal MP who defected to the Cons. So JD is right, she is giving reporters not Scheer the look of death. She's another Con I would dearly like to see go down in flames....
DeleteHi all,
ReplyDeleteMy brother's birthday dinner went well and yes, I did make another wish for Justin's reelect tomorrow night. I want to start by apologizing for having lost my temper here on a number of occasions. I really want us all to work together and not fight a circular firing squad like Obama warned about.
I also want to say, as an American, please don't repeat our mistake. Justin isn't perfect but he's better than all the alternatives, and he knows how to cultivate a great team in his corner. Even Superman had his kryptonite, but the man of steel still had a heart of gold. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear blue suits, brown shoes and fancy socks.
So here's my long distance dedication to you, Canada. From all the way south of the 49th and behind the wrong side of the Orange Curtain. I really don't want to be saying "It must have been love, but it's over now," so please... Listen to your heart, before you tell him goodbye.

Whats with the Post, do they suspect the RCMP is at the door or a coup in progress and they are trying to maintain relevance in the new order by walking both sides of the street? Its unbelievable the partisan hacks would publish "Scheer’s silence is either suspicious or baffling....The other option, of course, is that there’s something very very nasty waiting to be unearthed in this alleged business relationship."

Thankyou,Merci! Just what we were praying for! So much easier now. WEXIT
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone here has any idea why the Liberal Party has broken all ties with Warren Kinsella? At one point he was one of the top political strategists of the Libs. What went so terribly wrong?
