The Con Clown Stephen Harper and the Battle For Canada
It's the Canada day weekend, and it's going to be a hot one in more ways than.
It's going to feel like 45 degrees in the place where I live.
And July 1 is also the day when Canada fires back at the Trump regime.
The federal government has released its final retaliatory tariff list and is offering up to $2 billion in financial aid to the steel, aluminum and manufacturing industries.
In announcing which U.S. products would be slapped with either a 25 per cent or 10 per cent surtax, Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland asserted that Canada "will not back down."
Not with guns but other things.

Michelle Rempel and the Fake News Threat
The years since her beloved sugar daddy Stephen Harper left her, have not been kind to Michelle Rempel.
Once she was a rising star, now not so much.
Once the old men in the Con media used to fall over themselves trying to impress her. Now she has to work really hard to try to impress them.
But this is both ridiculous and dangerous.

Donald Trump and the Stephen Harper Missile
As we all know, relations between Justin Trudeau and the madman in the White House have been going from bad to worse.
With Donald Trump doing all he can to try to intimidate Trudeau, and force him and Canada to surrender to his insane demands.
And now it seems he has a new, and he hopes deadly weapon, to use against us.

Has the Con Media Finally Realized The Bestiality of Andrew Scheer?
Ever since Andrew Scheer became Con leader, the shabby Con media in this country has been heaping praise on him.
Encouraging his hatred of Justin Trudeau, ignoring his many lies.
Licking him like a lollipop, in what has to be one of the most disgusting spectacles in modern Canadian history.
But now at last that might be changing.
Why Andrew Scheer Hates Justin Trudeau So Much
Like many Canadians I have long wondered why Andrew Scheer hates Justin Trudeau so much.
For hate him he does, with a passion that far exceeds what we might expect from an opposition leader in Canada, and borders on the maniacal.
I have tried to find out whether there is anything in Scheer's past that could help explain his disturbing behaviour. But that wasn't easy, because no politician has tried to bury the past as much as he has.
But now at last I think I have found it.

The Pride Parade and the Homophobic Cons
It's the day of the Pride Parade in Toronto, and in just about an hour or so, thousands of members of the rainbow army, and their straight allies, will march down Yonge Street, while about a million people cheer them on.
And it will be what it has always been, a community's celebration of survival in a world full of bigots.
And a chance to send out a message of solidarity to the LGBT people all over that world who are still suffering and dying from the hate that kills.
But this year Pride Month in Canada has also made it only too clear which parties support the human rights of gay Canadians, and which one doesn't.
Justin and Pierre: Like Father Like Son
It's a striking scene, Justin Trudeau celebrating Quebec's FĂȘte nationale in his Montreal riding, being confronted by an angry protester.
And forced to defend his right to call the province his home, and stand his ground.
“You came to speak English to us?” the man asked in French. “Isn’t your party next week?” The man then suggested Trudeau had come to “bother us at home,” to which Trudeau replied, “I am home.”
“There’s no place for intolerance here,” Trudeau said to the man, who was quickly pulled away by the prime minister’s security team.
Just like his father had to do fifty years ago.

Donald Trump and the Return Of the Blood Libel
It had to be one of the most obscene sights I have ever seen. Donald Trump using the dead to smear illegal immigrants as criminals.
President Trump hit back on Friday at criticism over his administration’s hard-line stance on immigration, lamenting the “death and destruction caused by people that shouldn’t be here,” and accusing Democrats and the news media of not caring.
Despite all the evidence to the contrary.
While statistics show that native-born Americans commit crimes at higher rates than immigrants, Mr. Trump has long pushed a narrative that suggests otherwise.
And just a few days after he accused them and their children of "infesting" the U.S., as only a Nazi could.

When Will Andrew Scheer Ever Stop Lying?
As you probably know, I began portraying Andrew Scheer as a compulsive liar long before the Cons made him their lying leader.
For who can forget this scandalous story?
Conservative leadership candidate Andrew Scheer exaggerated a cute story of sleeping at his parents’ home while working in Ottawa, his office said Monday after The Huffington Post Canada raised questions about potential discrepancies in his expense claims.
Where he tried to make himself look cute, only to end up looking like a Con artist.
So I'm not surprised that after about a million other lies, he has finally hit rock bottom.

Justin Trudeau and the End Of the Great War on Marijuana
I started receiving text messages from some of my friends in Scotland before I even got out of bed yesterday morning.
And they all basically wanted to know the same two things:
Was Canada really legalizing weed, and if so when could they come and visit me?
And it felt really good to say yes, it's true. It finally happened.
Justin Trudeau kept his promise.

Andrew Scheer's Tainted Racist By-Election Victory
Andrew Scheer finally won a by-election last night by appealing to Quebec nationalists and playing footsie with former separatists.
But don't expect him to brag about it too much. For it was a tainted victory.
And there is a reason he didn't mention this at the Con's victory party.
Scheer has said he'd give Quebec more power over culture and immigration and has promised to crack down on the influx of irregular refugee claimants, which has become a particular problem at Quebec's Lacolle border crossing.
For once again Scheer has been caught cuddling up to right-wing extremists.

Should Justin Trudeau Call An Early Election?
As you probably know Donald Trump's decision to declare war on Canada has sent Justin Trudeau's popularity skyrocketing.
According to the latest poll his approval rating hasn't been as high since he won the 2015 election.
But since the tariffs we have imposed on the United States don't come into effect until July the first, things could get ugly fast.
Bill Maher on Trump and Trudeau as Goofus and Gallant
Donald Trump's decision to attack Justin Trudeau and declare war on Canada is deeply disturbing and the act of a madman.
But one of the bright spots in this darkness is the way many Americans have rallied behind Trudeau and expressed their support for Canada.

Justin Trudeau, Michael Harris, and the Trump Bump
Andrew Scheer and the Trinity Western Decision
If Andrew Scheer had a fantasy university it would almost certainly be a nightmare version of Trinity Western University.
For it has a so-called covenant that blatantly discriminates against LGBT students.
And he is a religious fanatic and ghastly homophobe who chooses to treat gay Canadians as if they didn't exist.
As did his Great Fallen Leader Stephen Harper who used to recruit many of his parliamentary interns from that hideous university.

Why Is Andrew Scheer Trying to Kill Plans to Legalize Marijuana?
If everything had gone according to plan, marijuana would have been legalized in this country on July 1, Canada's birthday.
But now it looks as if we will have to wait until at least Labour Day.
There is a slim but very real chance that it could take years before it is legalized.
And Justin Trudeau knows who is to blame.
Stephen Colbert Takes Aim At Trump's Hot Date With Kim Jong Un
Well by now we all know about Donald Trump's new bromance with the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
And how he likes Kim more than he likes Justin Trudeau.
Which can only please the treasonous Trumpling Andrew Scheer.
And while many pundits have taken aim at Trump's depraved relationship with Kim Jong Un.
Nobody in my opinion has done a better job of demolishing that meeting than Stephen Colbert.
Inside One of Donald Trump's Prison For Children
What Is The Real Reason Donald Trump Went After Justin Trudeau?
It made no sense at the time, and it still doesn't. Why did Trump suddenly turn Justin Trudeau into a mortal enemy?
Why of all countries would he bash his G7 allies, and declare war on Canada?
Is he jealous of Justin? Is Putin demanding more for his dirty pictures of Trump?
Or is Trump hiding something?

How We Can Fight Back Against Trump's Tariff War
In one of my last posts I ran this photoshop creation I made, to represent what many millions of Canadians would probably love to see happen to Donald Trump.
Especially after the deranged bully threatened to escalate his insane trade war on Canada and Canadians.
Escalating his attack on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, U.S. President Donald Trump is now pledging to punish “the people of Canada” economically because of the post-G7 news conference in which Trudeau criticized Trump’s tariffs.
And it seems that the Montreal Gazette's Terry Mosher had the same idea.

Andrew Scheer's Phony Trumpling Capitulation
In my last post I looked at how hard it was proving for Andrew Scheer to end his treasonous campaign of cheerleading for Donald Trump, and undermining his own country.
The idea of putting his country before his party and his foaming hatred for Justin Trudeau being just too hard to bear.
But eventually the pressure from outraged Canadians proved even harder to bear.
And yesterday he appeared to capitulate.

The Shaming of the Monstrous Con Trumpling Andrew Scheer
Ever since Andrew Scheer became Con leader he has been attacking Justin Trudeau like some kind of zombie from Hell, or Trump's America.
Day in day out with the support of the country's shabby Con media he has tried to debase him or portray him as a failure.
Or worse, tried to make Canadians believe that they should be ashamed of him.
For who can forget this ghastly campaign aimed at Justin and his family?

Justin Trudeau, Donald Trump, and the Treason of Andrew Scheer
Nobody can deny that Justin Trudeau worked really hard to try to get Donald Trump to agree to a joint statement at the G7 Summit.
No Prime Minister has ever worked harder to try to convince a madman to see reason.
And for a while he thought he had succeeded.
And that the summit that so many Canadians worked so hard to organize was a success.
But it was clear that Trump was determined to act like a spoiled baby.

Doug Ford and the Religious Fanatics
He came bounding into his first news conference as Premier-elect, looking as if he couldn't believe it himself.
He spent the next half hour waffling about some of the many wild promises he made during the campaign, claiming he needed to "look at the books" before he could say how he planned to pay for them.
And we all know what that means.

Doug Ford: When Bitter Reality Bites
It didn't take long for Doug Ford to show his total lack of class, and what kind of Premier he will be.
For only minutes after he was declared the winner, he burst onto the stage to soak up the sweaty cheers of his fanatical supporters, stick his orange face into the TV cameras.
And in the manner of some kind of Deep South Baptist preacher proclaim that the Cons had taken Ontario back.

The Ontario Election and the Campaign From Hell
It's voting day in Ontario, and I must admit I have no idea who is going to win this weird election.
The last polls are in, but while some have the NDP and the Cons running neck to neck.
Most are predicting a Ford majority.
And one thing is clear, only a large turnout can save us from the bestial Dougie.
Justin Trudeau and the Shameful Surrender of Andrew Scheer
It's been a few days since Donald Trump declared economic war on Canada, and imposed punishing tariffs on our steel and aluminum exports.
And for most of that time Andrew Scheer has shocked many Canadians by appearing to cheerlead against his own country.
Claiming that Justin Trudeau hadn't done enough to stop Trump from declaring war, so it was all his fault, and he had failed. Again.

Doug Ford and the Good Mr Bumble
He stands accused of withholding money from his brother's widow and children.
And of running the family business into the ground.
The same label factory he claims has given him the experience to run Canada's biggest economy.
And what Doug Ford had to say about that yesterday could only have satisfied the dumbest members of his so called Ford Nation.

Doug Ford's Most Horrible and Devastating Day
With only three days to go before the Ontario election, Doug Ford's Team Harper's handlers have been taking no chances.
Keeping him in a bubble most of the day, lest he say something really dumb, or soil himself.
But sadly for him, and the Harperites, today it just didn't work.
When the bubble or the balloon burst.
Justin Trudeau, the Elephant, and the Moose
Justin Trudeau hasn't wasted any time taking his case against Donald Trump's tariffs directly to the American people.
In an interview on the NBC News show Meet the Press he made the case that those tariffs not only make no sense, they're an insult to this country.
"The idea that we are somehow a national security threat to the United States is quite frankly insulting and unacceptable."
And also made it clear that Canada isn't about to roll over and play dead.

Justin Trudeau and the Treason of the Cons
You might think that at a time when the maniac in the White House has declared war on Canada.
And Justin Trudeau is fighting to save hundreds of thousands of jobs in this country.
And by most accounts doing an admirable job of letting Donald Trump know that nobody bullies Canadians.
You might think that Andrew Scheer might be able to put his country before his ugly party and his obsessive hatred of Trudeau.
But if you did you would be wrong, because sadly it seems, Scheer just can't help himself.

Doug Ford and the Hash Bomb
Well I see Kathleen Wynne has bowed to the inevitable and conceded.
But not before dropping the H-bomb or Hash bomb on Doug Ford.
Trailing in the polls with less than a week until the June 7 election, the Liberals have dropped the H-bomb — as in hash — on Doug Ford.
Using digital media ads in Punjabi, Chinese and Urdu, Kathleen Wynne’s party is drawing attention to a 2013 Globe and Mail story in which 10 anonymous sources alleged the Progressive Conservative leader was a hashish dealer in Etobicoke in the 1980s.
But since it's only five days before the election, and since Ford is still refusing to explain how he would pay for the $20 billion hole in his platform.
I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to use the Hash Bomb to his advantage.
