Donald Trump and the Madness in the White House
It's a scary sight, but the Trump White House is starting to look a lot like the last days in the Fuhrer bunker.
With the Orange Fuhrer raging like a madman, and firing people left and right.
Everybody in that sweaty bunker wondering who is next?
And nobody able to feel safe.
Not even his national security adviser General H.R.McMaster.
Three people close to Mr. Trump said that he has concluded that he should remove General McMaster, but he has not disclosed when he will do it and who he will appoint as Mr. McMaster’s successor.
Who apparently ended up on John "The Iceman" Kelly's hit list for having encouraged Trump to whack Rex Tillerson.
The four officials said that Mr. Kelly had become increasingly angry at what he viewed as General McMaster’s prolonged effort to undermine Rex W. Tillerson, whom Mr. Trump fired as secretary of state this week.
And let's just hope that McMaster is not replaced by John Bolton.
If General McMaster does depart the White House, the name most often mentioned as a replacement has been John R. Bolton, a hawkish former ambassador to the United Nations whom Mr. Trump likes seeing on television.
Because Bolton is not just a hawk, he's a maniac
And if he ever gets to whisper or bellow into Trump's ear, the U.S. will be at war with Iran sooner rather than later.
Bolton has repeatedly called for military intervention in Iran, saying that "we need to bring that regime down." While criticizing President Barack Obama for the Iran deal, Bolton claimed, “If we had a real president,” the U.S. could “overthrow” the Iranian government.
Or China or North Korea.
Bolton has advocated a strike-first policy on North Korea and has pushed for military intervention over diplomacy. Bolton has, on more than one occasion, made the case for “striking North Korea first.”
So nobody is safe, not even Kelly...
Mr. Kelly himself is also on thin ice, according to officials in the White House. He is said to have angered the president by privately saying “no” to the boss too often.
But then who can be surprised?
When Hope Hicks, Trump's favourite adviser, and the only one who could control him, announced she was leaving about two weeks ago...
Because she could see where all of this was going.
The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, has subpoenaed the Trump Organization in recent weeks to turn over documents, including some related to Russia, according to two people briefed on the matter. The order is the first known instance of the special counsel demanding records directly related to President Trump’s businesses, bringing the investigation closer to the president.
And then late last night, as if to prove her right, came word of another firing.
And this had to be the most diseased.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions late Friday night fired former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, a little more than 24 hours before McCabe was set to retire — a move that McCabe alleged was an attempt to slander him and undermine the ongoing special counsel investigation into the Trump campaign.
A decent man fired a day before he was to retire, for all the wrong reasons.
“The big picture,” McCabe said, “is a tale of what can happen when law enforcement is politicized, public servants are attacked, and people who are supposed to cherish and protect our institutions become instruments for damaging those institutions and people.”
By a bully who clearly enjoys inflicting pain on others.
And really what more can anyone say?
Except that the White House is now a freak show.
We are all in terrible danger.
And nobody will be safe until the bestial Trump is deposed, by whatever means necessary.
And sent to the place where he belongs...
McCabe a decent man? He was fired with cause. The FBI should not be telling lies. People working against Trump have to obey the law or what is the point?
ReplyDeleteThe next move by Trump is to fire Sessions who obviously works for the Deep State. Next he will fire Mueller and let the voters decide.
Then he will declare himself President for life.
Bolton is just another in the whole cabinet of fanatics that Trump has assembled. Victoria Nulands sister is now the number two or something at the state dept. America wants/needs war. Syria is the likely victim.
hi Steve...I think firing a man one day before he retires, and then cackling about it like some depraved bully tells me that Trump is becoming unhinged. And as I said in my post, if John Bolton becomes Secretary of State we will be at war sooner rather than later. I can't remember a more dangerous time...
DeleteTrump just proved what a great businessman he is. In the time it takes to twitter, he set McCabe up for an book advance auction worth at least trip what it was yesterday morning. McCabe will also be able to sell hre books. The first , a sure best seller, about his time in Trump's barrel, the second about ten years of the FBI vs Russian intellegence and the third about FBI counterterrorism.
ReplyDeleteNo Inspector General report has been issued. Makes one wonder what it really says.
hi rumleyfips...yes, I see a Congressman has offered McCabe a job for a day so that hopefully he can collect his pension. But you're right, with all those books he could write, who needs a pension?
DeleteBestial is the right word to describe a man who would fire a man one day before he retired. Trump has taken the Presidency to its lowest point ever. Like you Simon I can't wait for the day of justice.
ReplyDeletehi anon@3:15 PM...I always predicted that Trump would go over the deep end, and I think that time has come. His tweets are now almost all directed at Mueller and the FBI, and it's clear what he plans to do. We're on the eve of a constitutional crisis that could tear the U.S. apart...
DeleteHi Simon
DeleteAs with any good con man the scam has to end in crisis where the marks are either all in or out. Hopefully he will not be able to reach that stage before something will emerges that convinces the vast majority to go all out. There is obvious incriminating episodes going back 10 years before he amassed enough presidential clout to bury the evidence with the help of his lawyers, the justice department and the Russians.
RT
McCabe now says he has detailed notes on everything Trump said to him, and that Mueller already has them. The Trumpette is blowing taps for himself, and heading for a collision with an obstruction of justice charge.
ReplyDeletehi anon@6:51PM... I like the image of Trump blowing Taps for himself. I may have to borrow it. ;) But yes, the Orange Oaf is heading for a collision with law enforcement that will determine whether the U.S. is still a democracy....
DeleteMcCabe is a Republican who went to bat against the Justice department when he believed the Democrats were trying to shut down the Clinton Foundation investigation. His actions must have been legal at the time as neither the Justice department nor president Obama disciplined him. Now the Republicans decide to have him fired over his 2015 action of going public in trying to hold Hillary to account. Wow they sure know how to treat their supporters! Just like all of the unionists that want their jobs back only to find that some of the jobs may return but the union power and pay benefits won't. Like McCabe his supporters should be careful what they wish for when dealing with the Trumpian Republicans.

hi RT...this whole episode is insane, and I can only guess that by firing McCabe Trump is trying to send a message to Mueller. The kind of message a mobster sends with a horse's head. Goodness knows what's going to happen, but as I said in my post, unless Trump can be brought under control, we're all in real danger...
