Donald Trump and the Ballad of Stormy Daniels

I never did understand, and never will, how Donald Trump could boast of grabbing women by their private parts, act like a sexist pig, and a pervert.

And still be elected president of the United States of America.

It's so depressing, and so infuriating, and the stench of corruption burns the nostrils.

But it seems that justice may still be divine.

For the Ballad of Stormy Daniels is now pounding in his ears again.

And he must know that could be BIG TROUBLE.

If a porn-tinged hush payment falls in a news din already torqued to maximum volume, does it make a sound? It seems to be getting there, despite North Korean intervention. And this much is becoming clear: There is no hiding from the tale of the president and the porn star.

And I mean BIG TROUBLE.

The case of the adult film actress, Stephanie Clifford, who uses the stage-name Stormy Daniels, may not get past even the first considerable obstacles. But if her court case proceeds, Mr. Trump and his longtime personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, may have to testify in depositions, several lawyers said in interviews on Thursday.

Ms. Clifford’s suit could possibly also provide evidence of campaign spending violations, which would bolster a pending Federal Election Commission complaint against Mr. Trump’s campaign.

For one thing could lead to another.

“A lawsuit opens the door, and judges almost always allow for a plaintiff to have a fishing expedition,” said Robert S. Bennett, the Washington lawyer who represented Mr. Clinton in the Paula Jones case. The questions could include, “Have you paid other people money?” he said.

And who knows in what X-rated nightclub nightmare Trump could find himself entangled.

A bombshell new report suggests Donald Trump consummated a deal to hold his Miss Universe pageant in Moscow while hobnobbing with Russian oligarchs at a Las Vegas nightclub later shut down over lewd performances involving women and urine.

“Among the club’s regular acts cited by the judge was one called ‘Hot for Teacher,’ in which naked college girls simulate urinating on a professor,” Isikoff and Corn reported. “In another act, two women disrobe and then ‘one female stands over the other female and simulates urinating while the other female catches the urine in two wine glasses.’”

Or busted.

Because that in turn could revive that scandalous story about him and the three escorts in a Russian hotel room, peeing for his pleasure, right before his eyes.

On a bed once used by Barack and Michelle Obama.

It would make people wonder if that's what Putin has on Trump...

And if that's why Trumpy sometimes acts like Putin's puppet.

And whether it was true, or just good fake news. And even though it could have been worse.

“The owners had also discussed whether they should prepare a special performance for the developer, perhaps a dominatrix who would tie him up on stage or a little-person transvestite Trump impersonator,” Isikoff and Corn reported. “They nixed that idea.”

Stormy Daniels is still claiming that she spanked Trump with a copy of Vogue magazine.

And all that kinky behaviour, and all that lying, could help destroy him.

Could this be Trump's political obituary?

He came, he squatted, he pretended to be president.

But could never escape his inner piggy.

And it led him to a VERY bad place...

I have to admit I totally discounted the Steele document. Now the Deep State has many tools to make lies true, but the truth does not matter, its what is believed. I know have a touch of belief where nothing used to be.

    1. hi Steve... Christopher Steele has a serious record as a British intelligence officer, so nothing he says should be entirely discounted. He never claimed that he could prove what if anything happened in that hotel room, he just said the story was going around. But when you start putting everything together, the portrait that is starting to emerge is not a very pretty one...

    2. I agree that Steele has a serious record with British intelligence but, while I did not go as far as Steve, there seemed to be just too good an access to all those supposed sources in Russia when we have no reason to believe that those sources do not seem to have any particular reason to leak information an ex-British intelligence agent.

One cannot discount some Machiavellian plot in Moscow worthy of Washington but otherwise the information seemed a bit too good, especially as Steele, apparently, never met the informants.

I could easily be wrong but the impression I got was a mixture of fact and fantasy. Have you ever read Graham Greene's Our Man In Havana? I suspect there may be a vacuum in that report.

Stormy's ballad for Trump would surely contain the following lines. From CCR, "looks like we're in for nasty weather, there's a bad moon rising". To Led Zeppelin, "if it keep's on raining the levee's going to break".
Both songs exude a particular forebodding for Trump if Stormy gets to tell the full story of the perverted peeresident(book and movie to follow).
What happens after the shit, rather, piss hits the fan is anyones guess though I'm quite sure Trump's final ballad will not be a "Stairway to Heaven", more than likely it'll be "Hell's bells, Satan's calling to you, Hell's bells".

    1. Hi JD...I must admit I don' know what to make of all of this. And normally I wouldn't care what Trump or anyone else does in bed. *Shudder.* But it seems Trump is willing to pay a lot of money to hush things up, which makes me wonder what is he trying to hide?
And since covering up those allegations might have won him the election, I really want to know the truth...

    2. Now, now, Simon. It was Mr. Cohen's money. Does not everyone's lawyer do this?

And people thought emails about risotto recipes and a tan suit were biglier disqualifications for leadership? Or shalwar kameez, rubber ducky socks, and National Lampoon's Bahamas Vacation? The media needs to get their priorities straight and stop chasing squirrels just to get tremendous, incredible ratings. The far, far, yooooger embarrassment to the West and indeed the whole world is right there, right now, in Washington D.C. AKA Moscow-on-the-Potomac.

Whoever that idiot was the other day who said that Trudeau makes him ashamed to travel abroad and admit he's Canadian must be dain-bramaged. Trump, by far, is the most humiliating, ugly American ever to disgrace the shores of the Republic. He is a shitstain on humanity. An internet hate-comments section made flesh, and the epitome of every dark-web trove of bizarre fetishes and Rule 34. How disgusting is this "man," this pathetic excuse for a carbon lifeform. What a rancid bucket of piss and a stinking fish-wrap tabloid full of sleaze to ever be dumped into the Office of the President. If General Washington could have foreseen that the country would degenerate to this level, he'd turn himself in to the British Crown and fall on his own sword. Or drown himself by jumping overboard into Boston Harbor like so much unwanted tea. One thing's for sure, he'd want his name ripped off the nation's capital like the Trump-branded tourist trap it's become.

As the kids these days say, I literally can't even. I have never been more ashamed for my country, even when Shrub was facing much-deserved international condemnation for his grotesque cowboy misadventures in the Arab oil fields. Justin's sock drawer, Hillary's headbands, or a wrinkled pair of Obama's "mom jeans" would do a better job and bring more class to the office as president-for-life. That practice of Americans traveling abroad and pretending to be Canadian started when a Trudeau was prime minister and a racist, deranged, warmongering Republican under investigation and facing certain impeachment was the president. Plus ça change, as the old saying goes. But even crooked Nixon didn't go around turning tricks with his... Milhouse. Sock it to me????

    1. hi Jackie...The situation is so grubby these days, I'm trying to spend as much time as I can working on my sailboat, so I can set sail for the middle of Lake Ontario and get away from the stench of it all. And yes, give thanks that we have a decent prime minister who puts Trump to shame...

I am willing to pay Stormy Daniels $50 if she will announce that she is now an evangelical, and will from now on only "perform" in the missionary position. And if Trump wants to be spanked again it will have to be with the Bible. :p

    1. hi anon@4:17 PM...Trump told some kind of Republican roast/comedy show the other day that the gay love story Call My Name had killed Billy Graham. But I can't help feeling that if Stormy told her story, there would be evangelicals collapsing all over America... ;)

Trump uses counter attacks, lawyers, bribes and pardons to hide the truth, his pal Putin uses imprisonment and death certificates. Although both are equally as deadly from a policy perspective,Trump still has a way to go before earning his patch.

    1. Hi RT...yes, when you think about, Trumpy still has so much to learn before he can become a serious dictator. But then he's never been really good at anything, and his stupidity is our best defence...

    2. Putin is an astute politician, administrator, and may be on his way to gaining statesman status. I am not particularly keen on some of his tactics but he has had a major effect in moving Russia from a basket case in the early 90's after the breakup of the Soviet Union into a stable and relatively prosperous nation.

I rather doubt that he is ordering those assassinations in the UK (Moscow is, very likely, another matter.) The President of Russia has better things to do with his time. Like actually running the country?

If the UK attacks have official Russian Gov't involvement, which seems quite possible, I doubt if he cares enough to stop it unless the bad press is damaging. I'd bet more on a Thomas à Becket situation with the SVR and maybe some Russian Mafia to help. And that assumes official involvement which everyone seems to assume but does not yet have any poof for. Yellow Cake anyone?

I keep seeing a profoundly irrational level of paranoia in the USA about Russia. The Americans do not seem to have gotten the memo that Russia != USSR.

Trump is a narcissistic, crooked, failed businessman turned reality show host who is the epitome of the Dunning-Kruger syndrome.

He also is the one who has unleashed the military to step up drone attacks against perceived terrorists with the attendant increased civilian casualties. Oh, and come to think of it, I have not seen Putin praising President Duterte for sending out murder squads.

Drump is so outclassed by Putin that it is like a midget hockey player up against an NHL player. And I do not think he has the slightest understanding of it.

As they, apparently, used to say, compare and contrast: Putin http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/transcripts/messages/56957 versus Trump "Make America Great Again, Make America Great Again”, repeat at infinitum.

Although both are equally as deadly from a policy perspective,Trump still has a way to go before earning his patch.

There is a vast difference. Putin may or may not have had a few personal rivals knocked off. Trump is encouraging war crimes but then he is just following the distinguished path set by so many of his predecessors.

and the evanglicals still think he is making American great again. omg, what a shit show.

The book, I am sure Ms. Daniels will write, ought to be quite funny. Most likely will sell faster than the last book about Trump. This one might even have pictures. omg, I think I'm going to be sick............

This and then Trump's speech in Penn on Saturday, you can clearly see how crazy this man is. They voted for him, now they can live with it or die because of it.

The Ford win is just a reminder for the electoral reform enthusiasts on how a ranked ballot system can be gamed. Tanya Allen acted as the over the top evangelist to motivate that block into voting for her rather than staying home. The allowed the poser Ford to move his platform closer to the middle (its all relative) to compete with the other two candidates. One the first round the bible thumper drops out with all her votes going to second choice Ford putting him either ahead or within striking distance of Elliott. How the Mulroney votes split on the final round was still important but the underlying reason he won is he obtained all of the evangelical votes from Allen without having to shamelessly court them in a manner that would have driven more moderate (its all relative) voters away. He would have lost to Elliott in a first past the post system.
