Is Donald Trump Losing His Marbles Again?
It's really good to know that the U.S. nuclear commander says he would resist an illegal order from Donald Trump.
The US armed forces could refuse an order from the President to launch a nuclear strike if is deemed illegal, the country's top defence officer has said.
Air Force General John Hyten, commander of US Strategic Command, said he would reject any order from Donald Trump or any other president if it was not lawful.
And not just because it's reassuring that Trump might not be able to kill us all by hitting the wrong button.
But also because Trump's state of mind seems to be deteriorating again.
He keeps claiming that President Obama was never able to land in the Philippines because he wasn't wanted there.
Unlike Trump, whose relationship with that country's murderous president Rodrigo Duterte is blooming...
And at this rate the two men are going to have to find a hotel, or get married.
But the problem is that story about Obama not being able to land is just not true.
It is as CNN's Jake Tapper calls it, a complete fantasy.
You know, this planet is going to shake enough next year.
Scientists have warned there could be a big increase in numbers of devastating earthquakes around the world next year. They believe variations in the speed of Earth’s rotation could trigger intense seismic activity, particularly in heavily populated tropical regions.
We don't even know if British Columbia is going to be with us at this time next year.
So the last thing we need is a dotard in chief who can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality.
Mueller needs to hurry.
And the mad monster must be impeached before he kills us all...
Mueller is hurrying. He's currently attempting to flip the traitor Flynn. Once he succeeds there, it's over for the dotard.
ReplyDeleteHi anon... From what I have read, Flynn is in big trouble, so like Manafort it is probably in his interest to collaborate with Mueller. And with both of them talking I suspect Trump will be rapidly convinced to "resign."
DeleteSomebody going by "Montreal Simon Exposed" has tried to recruit me into forwarding a complaint to ProgBlog. No idea who is behind this but you deserve to know what he/she/them are up to. https://the-mound-of-sound.blogspot.ca/2017/11/soldier-guns-are-for-soldiers.html
ReplyDeleteHi Mound...thanks for passing this on. The person responsible is a deranged Con/homophobe who lives in the Coquitlam Port Moody area and has been sending me weird messages for at least a year, leaving an Internet trail even a blind person can follow. This loser is under the impression that he/she/it can use my own posts to get me to quit blogging, and unfortunately was enabled by your friend Lorne, who asked the maniac to send him a list of my "offensive" posts. So now this loonie sends me one message after the other threatening to report me to the FBI or the Department of Homeland Security. The only reason I have spared this freak is because he is obviously mentally ill or suffering from dementia. But my patience is wearing thin, and I have asked the police and my family's lawyers to crush this Con like a bug....
DeleteHi Simon, this is unbelievable, that guy sounds dangerous. I hope you intend to file charges. Do you have his IP number, if so you should publish it so others can help track that Con down. It sounds like an open and shut case of cyber stalking. Please take care, and take all necessary precautions until that maniac can be arrested.
DeleteHi anon....we have the maniac's IP number but I have been asked not to share it, until it can be confirmed by the police, and a warrant obtained for the internet provider to release his name. The new cybercrime legislation makes this step slightly harder than before, although that new "website" makes the cyberstalking charge simpler to use execute. I am annoyed at having to go to such lengths to rid the Internet of that predator, but I honestly believe he is dangerous and could harm others so I have no choice but to proceed.
DeleteJake Tapper is great, but why is he the only one leading the charge on this story? If anyone we know started inventing stories like that we would be deeply concerned. But when the person inventing them is the President of the United States all sane Americans should be demanding that he be impeached.
ReplyDeleteHi anon....there may be other stories out there but I must say I haven't found more than a couple of references. I think it's the usual problem, the media can't keep up with all of Trump's lies. There's a Times story today that claims that the number of lies is now averaging five a day. It's beyond belief and it has to end soon...
Deletethis is all part of the great distraction. Nothing new about Trump compared to the last crazy guy Reagan. Sex discrimation, and male privilage its so headlines and it means nothing. It has been centuries that young women love
ReplyDeleterich men, change that and we may have hope.
Hi Steve....look forget the mark of the beast, the larger problem is a president who seems to be living in a parallel universe, and making up his own reality. A U.S. President has the power to end life on earth so Trump is a risk we cannot afford...
DeleteGiven Trump's obvious mental instability, a pre-emptive strike would be resisted by more than General Hyten and just the thought that they would let the petulant child president do such a thing is ludicrous.
ReplyDeleteTrump is thankfully a victim of his own outrageous behavior whereas when it comes to nukes, the saner heads will have a plan B scenario to deal with a deranged order from a deranged president.
In other words, the adults in the room will give Trump a nuclear time-out while they make the adult decisions that could affect humanity as we know it.
JD
Hi JD...I suppose we should be grateful, but the fact that we are in such a situation is.both scary and depressing. We have truly created a monster, and I fear what he might do when Mueller starts charging members of his family. And remember, in the heat of a real international crisis, can we really count on the military to restrain him? It's like a nightmare and I can't wait to wake up...
DeleteOnce I know you are a liar your power to influence me is over .... even if what your are saying fits in with my general beliefs.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately this does not seem to be the case with a sizeable number of the general population. As any good Con man knows tell people the lies they want to hear, feed their fears and greed until he has taken everything and leaves a hollowed out zombie shell.
From a distance its easy to see that a liar has no respect for you or even himself but once caught in the web truth disappears into a murky fog. Unfortunately as the following article https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/01/donald-trump-lies-liar-effect-brain-214658 indicates the more lies are talked about and the longer they go on the stronger the deception becomes. This is possibly one of the reasons that Con games usually end in a crisis and the Con either wins or looses big time. So far Putin seems to be winning his game but Trump has a much larger and better established system to bring down one lie at a time. What form will the ultimate crisis take and who will win? Trump, the people, the others or no one.
RT
Hi RT....as I said above, Trump is averaging about five lies a day, which is absolutely stunning. The Internet multiplies those lies, until we find ourselves living in a world where many can't or don't want to tell the difference between fantasy or reality. It's an updated version of 1984, and if we're not careful will result in the same kind of society...
DeleteDaniel Dale (Washington Bureau Chief for the Toronto Star) frequently updates every false claim Trump has made since his inauguration on Jan. 20.
DeleteLast updated: Nov. 13, 2017
https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2017/11/13/daniel-dales-donald-trump-fact-check-updates.html
In total Trump has now made 858 false claims over his first 297 days in office — an average of 2.9 false claims per day.
Meanwhile your Trudeau told Duterte off and the con media buried it. The dotards saying he's worse than Harper or even that he's got more in common with Trump than he wants to admit (!) must be choking on what they're smoking. I don't see Trudeau trying to assemble a nuclear arsenal to take out a whole continent because one country's leader keeps trolling him on Twitter. Or siccing the Mounties on overdose patients to be shot dead in the streets.
ReplyDeleteIf Trump has lost his marbles (that game was called a long time ago), the press up north is playing zero-dimensional Candy Land, scribbling on the board with crayons, and then eating the crayons before puking them up like a real-world Instagram filter and making a bigly yuge mess. Then holding it up for everyone to see and calling it a masterpiece of abstract art.
Spoiled, feral children have taken over the daycare. They're running with scissors and playing with matches while the babysitters are tied up with jump rope and locked in the supply closet. At least you guys have a onetime schoolteacher, who knows how to play substitute principal every now and then and put the unruly brats in timeout, as one of the few remaining adults in the room.
Hi anon...not only did the Con media give Trudeau no credit for criticizing Duterte, some even ranted and rav d that he should not be given any credit, because it was what he should have done, and it didn't change a thing. It beggars belief, and it's a warning of what lies ahead. I sense that powerful economic interests, similar to the Koch brothers in the U.S., are trying to influence the political situation. I think Trudeau is popular enough to resist them, but it's going to be a titanic struggle...
