I must admit I'm a bit apprehensive about writing about the Con's latest scandal, because I do try to keep this blog as decent as possible.
And this latest scandal is just so GROSS.
So be warned.
But it seems some Con candidate has been caught in the act, relieving himself in the wrong place.
And I mean the wrong place.
A service technician caught on hidden camera urinating into a coffee mug during a 2012 house call to repair a leaky sink before he became a Conservative federal election candidate is no longer running, the Tories said today.
Jerry Bance "is no longer a candidate," said Conservative spokesman Stephen Lecce in a brief email to CBC News on Monday.
And has had to be thrown under the bus like so many others.
And although I haven't dared watch the video.
For obvious reasons...

I do enjoy my cup of coffee in the morning. I don't want to share it with my computer. I don't have hidden cameras. And I had a technician in the other day, and I can't be sure he isn't a CON !!!!
I simply can't ignore the story. It's just too HUGE. It's in newspapers all over the world.
Even in the New York Times.
For hours last night and this morning it was trending in the number one position on Twitter.
And of course it couldn't be more embarrassing for Stephen Harper...
Especially since he's planning to campaign in that riding today.
Conservative Leader Stephen Harper is poised to campaign in Scarborough on Monday.
And I hate to think what questions he's going to be asked.
Or hate to imagine how Great Desperate Leader must be reading the riot act to his ghastly Con gang...
Or how Jason Kenney must be feeling after having attended Ol' Jerry's campaign launch.
Or how the PMO thugs on the campaign bus must be reacting to yet another sordid scandal. Which can only fuel the growing feeling that the Con campaign is imploding. Or leaking disastrously.
As well as raising more questions about Stephen Harper's appalling judgement.
And making even more Canadians wonder what kind of people are these Cons?
Are they all crazy? Do they have no manners or morals? And should they ALL be wearing diapers?
And not just Pierre Poilievre...
And of course I'm haunted by the thought of Chris Alexander's new role...
But yes, I think this grotesque story, along with all those other scandals, tells us all we need to know about the Harper Cons.
They are the lowest, most disgusting, and politically perverted political party this country has ever known.
And this country will not be clean and Canadian again.
Until the day we flush them all...

I don't think all Cons are crazy (are they?) but when I heard the story about the coffee cup my first thought was that has to be a Con candidate. Where does Harper find them?
ReplyDeleteBased on Bance's performance... definitely proven (kitchen) cabinet material. The HarperCons will continue to diss on Camadians - time to pour the Con tea party down the sink!
DeleteBill
hi jrkrideau...well maybe crazy isn't the word, but low certainly is. Just when I think those Cons have hit rock bottom they continue to surprise me and shock me. I think their failure to attract better candidates says a lot about the state of the party. And the contempt of most Canadians...
Deletehi Bill...It's incredible how much traction this story has received. Like the poor boy on the beach it's something you don't easily forget. And for a guy trying desperately to improve his image it's is the last thing he needs. The one one PR catastrophe after the other is derailing his campaign is something to behold. And needless to say couldn't be better or more hilarious...
DeleteThe new minister of peeing in your ear and telling you its raining, look out Jason Kenney you got competition
ReplyDeletehi Steve....yes Jason Kenney has been looking very worried recently and this scandal isn't going to make things better. It's the sort of thing that can make some members of his base decide to stay at home on voting day. And if we can suppress their vote just a little, since he has the smallest pool of voters, he will be toast...
Deletekarma?
ReplyDeleteThat's what got Jack Layton after all, if one believes in such things.
Deletehi Thwap ....I think only Karma can explain it. The Cons have managed to get away with so many disgusting things, but now it's all coming back to haunt them...
DeleteCPCPee.PeeM harper says it's all perfectly clear to him. It's just his new trickle down economics.Putin says he will rush diapers to party by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Mulcair already made that joke:
DeleteOpposition New Democrat leader Tom Mulcair did not miss a chance to mock Bance and the Conservatives.
"He must be someone who is adept at Stephen Harper's trickle-down theory of economics," Mulcair said.
It's easy to make jokes about the incident, and goodness know I have made a few. But seriously if you are Harper it's the last thing you need. He has an image as the depraved leader of a rotting government, and stuff like that can only make the Cons look even more tired and corrupt...
DeleteWell , he pissed Harper off and got fired. The same thing happened to Nigel.
ReplyDeleteWell, he's gone. Maybe he'll run as an independent ? The wheels seem to be coming off the CPC bus. And didn't I read that Bruce Carson't trial starts tomorrow? Exit Duffy stage left, enter Carson stage right.
ReplyDeleteNow if Wallin gets charged. s
In the longer run, it seems to me (IANAL) that after the evidence at the Duffy trial there may be a good case to charge most of the senior PMO staff and perhaps a Con senator or two with conspiracy to bribe a senator & Wright with bribery.
Criminal trial of former PM Harper aide Bruce Carson pushed back to Sept. 14

hi jrkrideau...well I have been telling everyone that the wheels are coming off the Con bus. I know that for a fact. Nobody can control Jenni Byrne, and although she's good at the ground game, she's not the brightest bulb in the universe...
DeleteJRK: I red somewhere ,today, that Carson is giving Harper advice on his pay for punditry rag.
ReplyDeleteDude if you flush he who can not be named down that toilet, he will just end up in control of the Ministry of Magic.
ReplyDeleteDude, there's this thing, it's called a toilet.
ReplyDeletewe didnot have indoor plumbing when i was growing up
ReplyDeletewe peed in a pot in the bedroom and kitchen too
I see #peegate as white cultural reactionary tempest about a peecup
He was tidy about it and it saved water by not flushing
Very practical
Even more so if the water has been turned off.
Besides, urine was long viewed as sterile and in war was used on wounds
Recommended for earaches too..a few drops in the ear
Pissing on lawns and trees and gardens is not my cup of tea tho
hi Oemissions...I'm afraid I can't agree. It's very bad form and it has nothing to do with race. It would have been equally disgusting it a white person had done it. It's his customer's house, he was extremely disrespectful, and nothing stopped him from using the washroom. I think it's just a symptom of the contempt the Cons have for others...
Deletepee cleans coffee stains when nothing else will , so grow up people , Harper is going green and you cant handle the truth
ReplyDeleteWhen I watched the Mansbridge's interview of Harper tonight, I thought Harper was going to jump up and run to the washroom, as he took a sip of water after several of the questions.

hi Matthew...you mean the Ministry of Black Magic. But don't worry, we'll arrange to have the toilet flush directly into some tar pond, and he'll never escape that...
