Well he's off to the Summit of the Americas in Panama, along with his travelling photo-op.
But despite the
Because he couldn't have had a more horrible and disastrous week.
The Duffy trial is slowly shredding his credibility...
By revealing how close Harper and Duffy were, and making it even less likely that he knew NOTHING about that scandal in his own office.
The latest job numbers are shredding what was left of his reputation as a Great Economist Leader.
According to the latest jobs update from Statistics Canada released Friday, full-time jobs are down and part-time, precarious, low-quality jobs are up.
And this after Thursday’s OECD report -- which anticipates turning points in economic activity -- had Canada's economy lagging behind most of the G7.
Most Canadians think the economy is tanking...
And to make matters even worse, so are his polls.
The voter landscape is shifting in ways that don’t appear to favour Stephen Harper’s Conservatives, who now find themselves under 29 points for the first time since the security issue gave them a polling bounce back in October. That lead now seems to have evaporated; the party trails — insignificantly — Justin Trudeau’s Liberals and has less than a six-point margin over a clearly rejuvenated NDP.
He's definitely heading in the wrong direction...
His support in Quebec, which had him dreaming of a majority, is sinking along with the support for his war...
As is the support for his foul anti-terrorist bill.
And the worst thing is he can't run away from all his problems, not even in Panama.
Not when another of his star appointments Arthur Porter is languishing in a Panamanian jail, and inviting Harper to visit him.
When Stephen Harper arrives in Panama on Friday it will bring him within a short drive of a man he’d probably rather forget: alleged fraudster Arthur Porter.
“If he wishes, he is most welcome to come and see the conditions that I live in now,” Porter said of Harper during the conversation, which was drowned out at times by the shouts of other inmates in the background.
Which can only remind Canadians once again of Harper's appalling judgement.
Just like Patrick Brazeau did when he dropped in on the Duffy trial this week...
Because as you know, the Con's crime calendar is jammed solid all the way to the next election.
And may soon be even more jammed with the arrival of Pamela Wallin...
And of course all of this couldn't be better news.
He's losing the war as an issue, the economy won't save him, his momentum is tanking, and the stench of the Duffy trial and all his other scandals can only damage him further.
So how long can it be before Great Leader starts thinking about his Day of Justice?
Or starts looking for another job...
You know when the history of the Con regime's reign of terror is written, I honestly believe that last week will be recorded as the beginning of the end.
Isn't that a nice thought?
Enjoy it, we deserve it.
And have a great weekend everybody !!!

I wont be happy until he hits Lyin' Brian's numbers before he quit to let Kim Shepperd take the fall for his sins. That's what cowards do when the chips are down. Sleazy Steve knew the game and he played it, unleashing the "Ham of Green Gables" at the taxpayer trough while enjoying the gains to his precious CPC.
ReplyDeleteThe jig is up Sleazy, admit your sins, resign, and maybe you wont go to hell when your sorry ass expires.

"Ham of Green Gables"
DeleteHilarious ha ha ha
In case Harpo has not noticed the most powerful man in the world takes pleasure at kicking him in the balls.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be difficult to extradite from Panama . Maybe Slithery Steve will stay there. They do have closets in Panama don't they ?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have a link to the diaries. The Charlottetown newspaper published one but it doesn't work.
Um Barrack Obama calls Steve "A large lump all pudge and hair..."
ReplyDeletehttp://thelapine.ca/obama-calls-harper-large-lump/
Obama does not like Steve nor do the majority of other world leaders. Well except Benji dictators get along.

This bad week has roots in December 2008 when Stve prorogued Parliament. That's the unprecedented event that started it all. Within 3 weeks he appoints the Old Duffer et al to spread the Con views and news. Michelle Jean should never have approved but ... She wasn't the only one bullied.
ReplyDeleteP2p
...yeah, well, now Michelle Jean enjoys a plushy job for her contribution to Canada's darkest and most ignominious political times! I didn't like her dubious position then and I don't like it anymore, now! Too bad, I liked her appointment, she seemed a good choice, at the time!
DeleteHarper has done so much damage to this country, I can't see Canada surviving Harper.
ReplyDeleteHarper has sold Canada to China with his FIPA deal. China will be in Canada for a, minimum of 31 years. Harper shut down our Research Station in the Arctic He got rid of our Canadian Scientists. Now Harper is bringing over Communist China to build their own researchb Station in our High North. Harper and Cabinet have been mulling China a huge resource project in our High Arctic. I believe that is why, Harper doesn't want our military up there. Don't plan on any Canadians having jobs, they go to China as well.
Most of BC's resources and resource jobs have been given to China. BC miners are livid the BC mine jobs are not for them, nor for any Canadians. Same with BC's 100,000 LNG for BC, China takes the LNG, plus the jobs.
Harper is a traitor doing acts of treason for, selling Canada to Communist China, as of Oct 1/2014. Most of us are dead set against Communist China on our Canadian soil. Harper belongs in prison for those crimes.
It will be entertaining when Obama and Stevie meet. Perhaps Obama will ask him what he plains to do about saying no to keystone. We all remember tough Stevie saying he wasn't excepting NO
ReplyDeleteStevie wants to talk to other world leaders about the agreement with. Iran. Guess Stevie hasn't thought about them not wanting to talking to him.
I encourage people here to NEVER refer to the PM as Stephen Harper. Whoever coined "Great Closet Leader", congrats! (Was that you, Simon?)

Harris thinks calling Harper "Steve" all the time is clever because Harper apparently doesn't like that.
The Bay Street "Wonder Boy" Nigel Wright DOES NOT GIVE AWAY HIS OWN MONEY! Not a single dime came out of Wright's pocket!
ReplyDeleteIt would be a simple matter of Nigel Wright INVOICING the “Conservative Fund of Canada” account (the Conservative Party’s - taxpayer-subsidized war chest) multiple times for some phoney "Financial Consultant Fees" to accrue back the $90K. CPC treates that Fund's coffer as their private "Honey Pot."
OR, had the media called out Harper Conservative Senator Irving Gerstein, they would have found it was HE who arranged for cash-under-the-table from rich party backers which found its way into Wright's bank account as Gerstein could not hide the $90K on the CFC books.
Are there any conversations between Conservative Senator Irving Gerstein (Harper’s bagman) and the PMO about Nigel getting paid back from the “Conservative Fund of Canada” — the federal party’s war chest Gerstein once chaired.
