Stephen Harper's Ghastly New Propaganda Movie

Well he's somewhere in the far north, hiding from the media, so he doesn't have to answer any embarrassing questions.

Like how many jobs DOES Chuck Strahl need?

Or how is that Senate Scandal going? And have the police questioned him yet?

But then who needs the media eh?

When you're the star of your own new/nouveau propaganda movie.

So Great Leader can bypass the "elite" media, and create his own parallel reality. Where he always looks good, or prime ministerial, or just pretty. The wonky star of a dreamy travelogue where the sordid Senate scandal never intrudes.

And Mike Duffy can't call him.

Where the Maple Leaf Forever heralds his arrival, like Hail to the Chief does for a U.S. President.

And events like this one never happened...

Lest people get the impression that Big Daddy isn't universally loved by his grateful people, who whether they like it or not are picking up the tab for this latest outrageous example of Con propaganda.

The PMO has for some time now been using social media and posting its own video on the prime minister’s website about individual announcements made by Harper.

However, this latest initiative is more in-depth and appears to be another effort by the Conservative government to bypass the mainstream media and communicate its message directly to Canadians.

And all I can say is will this sinister Orwellian regime ever stop trying to brainwash us with OUR money?

And holy ripping Riefenstahl, if that's the best the PMO can do, that third-rate production of Happy Days in Harperland should be HILARIOUS !!!!!

I mean have you EVER seen such a weird combination of a high school TV production, a Sun TV News report, and something out of North Korea?

It's a tacky Con soap opera that will be mocked from one end of the country to the other.

And will look even more ridiculous when compared to what actually happened in the real world.

But of course, Great Leader is only doing it because he's DESPERATE.

Desperate to escape the stench of scandal and remake his tarnished image. He can't answer any questions because they ALL make him look bad. He needs a controlled environment , like a goldfish does, to stop him from floating belly up.

And so deluded has he become he thinks he can STILL fool Canadians into thinking he is the best Prime Minister EVER.

Instead of the WORST...

But of course it won't work. I doubt many Canadians will even watch that boring bush league video on YouTube.

And for every Con loser who does lick the tiny screen, there will be a hundred other Canadians either shaking their fists at it, giving him the one-finger salute. Or laughing their asses off.

Or doing all three like me eh?

But it does remind us that the PMO is in election campaign mode, and that it might be a good idea to see more of our own videos out there. Ones that reflect the horror of the times we are living in, and mobilize decent Canadians to do something about it.

And while I work on my contribution, I want to end this post by running a video I made a few months ago.

To make up for the horrible vision of Harper being introduced by the playing of The Maple Leaf Forever, like it was his Hail to the Chief.

Because that's the absolute limit eh? That song does NOT belong to him.

Not after what he's done to this country.

He can't have it, he doesn't deserve it.

It belongs to the PEOPLE of Canada...

The people who will not be fooled. The people who will not be brainwashed.

The people who will soon defeat him.

And take their country back...

  1. Must say you're brave to watch the clip, I just ate and would be worried what would happen to my newly ingested meal.

    1. hi bcwaterboy... I have to confess that the first time I watched the video I didn't watch the whole thing, I figured I had seen enough about two thirds in, around the time that the pitch for the Greek Orthodox vote came up. But then just before I sent off the post,I thought wait, I can't ask people to watch something I hadn't. So I played the thing again and that was when I discovered that John Baird was in it as well !!!!!
And that's when I practically vomited. But of course by that time it was too late to pull it eh? Sorry ;)
But as I said in the post, Happy Days in Harperland is a load of horse shit. But it will be the motherlode of invention...

Those aren't earmuffs, those are noise cancellation headphones. Glorious Leader wears them to ensure that any outside voices to not interfere with the voices in his head.

    1. hi anon...you know, I wouldn't be surprised eh? I mean for chrissakes just look at them. They're twice the size of his furry ears !!!! I believe they may also contain hidden speakers so the Ministry of Propaganda and Disinformation and CSIS can brief him as he speaks. But when I asked Signor Skull the director about that.
He said the reason Lord Harp was wearing ear muffs was because he didn't want to muss his hair... ;)

Another home run from Simon. I could stomach only a minute or so of the video. My bowels began to churn, and my eyes began to bleed. The sooner this monster is gone from the halls of power, and instead rots behind bars, the better.

    1. hi anon...thanks and I apologize for that video. Especially for almost running it without having watched the whole thing. ;) It really is appalling. I wasn't kidding when I said it reminded me of a high school or first year university project. They must be hoping that small TV operations use parts of the video as a cheap news source, but its too bush league for even that, so it can only be the product of desperation. And yes, the day of liberation can't come soon enough...

I went to the Youtube page to see what the commenters think, only to find:
"All comments disabled for this video"
That's typical of the Contemptuous Party of Canada.

    1. hi anon...actually I'm surprised they wouldn't allow comments eh? You'd think they'd love to add the unfavourable ones to their Enemy List, and ask CSIS or the NSA to investigate them... ;)

  6. By sharing his video (which you could perhaps just have an empty video player in your blog with a screen shot of the video player) you are promoting his message = exactly what he wants. Boycott harper, his video should be flagged. There are a couple categories he qualifies for.

  7. hi Jozef...I can understand how you feel, especially if you got all the way to the part with Baird. No decent person should be forced to endure that, and for that I apologize. But I had to run it once, just to show people what garbage propaganda their money is paying for. And don't worry, after this I'll only be running my own video versions... :)

Thanks for the warning everyone..........I even took some Gravol prior to watching this nauseating attempt at re-invention. Unfortunately I still heaved all over my keyboard.

But.......I found a more accurate video of how folks really feel about Dear Leader that made me laugh my ass off:

I want to thank you Simon - first for your no-holds-barred technique of calling the Cons out; and secondly, something that just struck me with the Maple Leaf Forever video for all Canadians - you remind me of how proud we can be our nation, and how I hope to be once again after we move past Harper et al - thank you!

  11. loved the first cartoon, especially the skull in the bottom corner.

now as to watching the video, my life is too short. O.K. maybe tomorrow before I eat. sometimes watching videos such as these, its fun to turn off the sound. there were a couple of Christy Clark videos, turned off the sound and just watched the body language.

harper will eventually go, but sooner would be better.

  12. .. having watched the Harper Home Movie 1.5 times will tell you this..
and I am a specialist regarding video production ..
Budget might be in the 1000 range

    - likely shot by interns or local partisan volunteers with 'prosumer' camera(s) mics
    - amateur narration, unpaid, non professional - reads far too fast
    - likely that no music rights were paid or submitted (copyright violation?) Music uncredited
    - amateur video editing technique.. again, likely unpaid or intern - abrupt video transitions
    - graphics (text titles) appear/disappear too fast for ordinary readers, clumsy font/layout etc
    - poor location audio - amateur or intern doing their best with the situation
    - clumsy audio cuts, with abrupt editing and rough mix & audio levels

    One for the history books..
