Breaking: The PMO Offered to Help Duffy Sell His Story !!!!

Uh oh. Call out the Fire Brigade or the Big Lie Brigade. There's more smoke pouring out of the PMO.

Remember when Mike Duffy accused the Harper gang of cooking up what he called a "monstrous fraud?"

Duffy also alleged that the prime minister’s office gave him a script to lie about where the money came from, claiming that he had taken out a loan. “The PMO told me to say my wife and I took out a loan at the Royal Bank,” Duffy said. “That line was written by the PMO to deceive Canadians as to the real source of the $90,000.”

And how Harper claimed that "deception" was the reason he threw him out of the Con caucus?

Well now that we've established that eh? Just how will Great Ugly Leader ever explain this one?

An e-mail has surfaced that shows the Prime Minister’s Office offered Senator Mike Duffy communications advice just days before he told Canadians he’d repaid questionable expense claims out of his own pocket.

An e-mail obtained by CTV News shows that on Feb. 20, two days before the repayment announcement, senior PMO officials approached Mr. Duffy to help him explain things.

“Chris Woodcock of his office and Patrick Rogers are communications specialists – very talented and happy to work with you to develop various strategies around communications,” Ms. Payne wrote in the e-mail to Mr. Duffy.

And while he's at it will he also explain why Chris Woodcock is now working as Chief of Staff for Joe Oliver? Instead of being FIRED.

Will he please tell us how  many others we should add to this Baker's Harper's Dozen?

And how long will he stick to his increasingly dubious claim that he knew NOTHING?

Oh well. I'm sure the RCMP is reading all those e-mails and will reach its own conclusions.

And will no doubt also explain why when journalists filed an access for information request looking for a paper trail on the Senate scandal, they were told there wasn't one.

Because I've already reached my own conclusion eh?

The day Stephen Harper lied, and then tried to screw Mike Duffy.

Was the worst mistake he ever made...

Good Ol' Duff, the gift that keeps on giving.

And as I did predict.

The one who will DESTROY them...

  1. .. have you thought of entering politics ? You have a consistant, strong, concerned Canadian.. and very human perspective.. Maybe some day soon you'd consider that .. but in the meantime, you're an exemplary voice, working from a truly moderne media .. exactly as Marshall McLuhan foretold ... unpaid of course, while our government employs untold numbers to pitchfork out their message manure.. supported by cadres of lawyers, stooges, advisors and poli sci grads with zero concience or vision

    1. hi salamander...well now that you mention it...I am planning to go into politics. But only as a humble foot soldier for Olivia Chow, as soon as she declares for mayor. But that's about it for Simon. I have another vocation where I can help people more directly. And besides I'm a lazy artist dammit !#@!!! And I need lots of time to be creative.... ;)

  2. If the next words that come out of great ugly leader's mouth are "I've been very clear" I will seriously vomit.

    1. hi bcwaterboy....you know what the good news is? I've noticed that whenever Harper says "let me be clear" in the House of Commons these days, people start laughing. And the look on Harper's face is as they say PRICELESS....

    1. hi astone...excellent so we have a progressive consensus. Harper should never be able to say "let me be clear" without being laughed at. And I can't go into politics because I'm too lazy... ;)

Harper is no Conservative, never has been. Let me be clear, let me be crystal clear Harper, is using every dirty tactic in the book, to stay in office. Harper has lied and deceived so many times? Harper forgets the first lie he has told. Mulcair has tripped Harper up so many times, he is no longer credible.

Harper cut his Senators throats, to save his own miserable hide.

    1. hi anon...in a technical sense you're right. The Cons are the combination of the Reform Party and a reactionary cult, and such an alien political formation it should never have survived north of the 49th parallel. It's a freak show but luckily for everyone it should soon be over...

  5. They didn't "offer to help him" at all. They wrote a script and told him to stick to it. That was designed to conceal any participation on the part of Harper or his PMO staff. Helping Duffy had nothing to do with it.

    1. hi Mound...yes of course, they were really offering to help themselves. That's all they ever do. But it turns out that in the end they were helping the RCMP, so it all worked out well in the end... ;)

While Woodcock is the flavor of the latest e-mail, he is likely a minor player. The two key persons are, respectively, Nigel Wright, of course, and Benjamin Perrin, Harper's legal advisor. If these two start singing, Harper is likely sunk.

I suspect that if the RCMP starts charging Wright, he will be busy negotiating to reduce or even drop the charges in return for telling what really happened. Perrin could be more difficult to determine as he can always claim solicitor client privilege and is likely to stay silent by simply claiming it.

Can't wait for Mulcair to go after Harper in regard to Woodcock at next week's QP. The revelation today, however, does explain why the Libs were already going after Woodcock in QP this past week.

    1. hi anon...yes Woodcock might be a minor player, but since he got a nice job in Oily Oliver's office, he'll have some explaining to do and so will Harper. All the others left the Con Death Machine in a hurry but he stayed on to be REWARDED. *Gasp* Yes, I also can't wait for Question Period to return. Especially if Woodward is still with us, and not at his new post in Siberia... ;)
