Is Stephen Harper Collaborating with the Teabaggers?

Uh oh. I knew Stephen Harper's all out offensive to try to force Obama to approve the Keystone pipeline was going to end badly eh?

First he made a fool of himself by declaring that he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Now Tom Steyer wants to know if he's been collaborating with the Republican teabaggers who are trying to shutdown the U.S. government.

An anti-Keystone XL pipeline crusader has written to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, suggesting Canada's aggressive lobbying for the project played a part in the ongoing government shutdown south of the border.

"Have your government, your government’s lobbyist and/or agents representing TransCanada communicated with House Republicans about including Keystone in the original litany of demands put to President Obama?" Steyer asks in the letter to Harper sent Friday.

The combination of the advertising campaign and Harper's comments last week "raises the question of whether your office is working hand-in-hand with TransCanada to try to exploit the current situation in Washington, D.C., at the expense of the American people," Steyer wrote.

And although some in this country are mocking Steyer for suggesting that Great Tiny Leader has any power or influence in the United States, when most American have never heard of him. I think it's a pretty smart move.

Because all he's trying to do is tie the Keystone pipeline to the very unpopular tactics of the teabagger fanatics. And reinforce his point that ordinary Americans have nothing to gain from the pipeline.

The only people who do are the dirty oil barons in Canada Alberta.

And of course the Chinese...

The fact is the Cons have been lobbying the Republicans.

And of course all of that can only put pressure on his good friend Obama, to reject the pipeline.

Or look like Stephen Harper really is telling him what to do.

Which of course would be laughable...

If it wasn't so tragic.

Because this latest episode is just another example of how the Con regime's pipeline obsessions are leading us to disaster. Ruining relations with our largest trading partner, ruining our image all over the world.

Even though the whole natural resources sector accounts for only 18 percent of our Gross Domestic Product.

You know I'm starting to think that we don't call ourselves hosers for nothing eh?

But two things are for sure eh?

The day Stephen Harper took on Tom Steyer was the day he made a REAL enemy.

And the sooner we get rid of that pipeline maniac.

The safer and saner we shall be...

Good post. Little Stevie thinks he's not only the smartest guy in the room, he now thinks he's the smartest guy in the world. Buzzzz. Wrong answer, Steve. Steve, meet Tom, a guy who is smarter than you.

P.S - Steve, there are lots of men and women in your own country who are smarter than you.
