Why Idle No More Will Make Harper Eat Crow

For some ghastly reason I couldn't help wondering tonight what Stephen Harper is eating while Chief Theresa Spence dies of hunger.

As Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence continues her hunger strike, a critical care doctor is warning that the human body begins to break down after such a long period without food.

Jones said after three weeks with no food, a person is "very vulnerable" to infections in the lungs and stomach, which can turn "rapidly fatal."

Because you know he does LOVE to eat, and he just gave his personal chef a raise.

While Stephen Harper's public servants are losing their jobs, his personal chef at 24 Sussex isn't doing too badly. Earlier this month Chef Timothy Wasylko got a raise.

And after the horrifying story of what happened to the last one...

Harper arrived at 24 Sussex in 2006, after firing the chef he had at Stornoway. The family cat had died one day and Harper asked the chef to go bury it in the back yard. The chef replied that he was a trained chef, not an animal undertaker. He sued Harper but they settled out of court, and of course, that amount too, has remained a state secret.

*Shudder*

You know he's cooking him up more than just a heap of bacon eh?

Or a pile of samosas...

Which makes me wonder how Harper can live with himself, stuffing his fat face with fancy food, while Chief Spence slowly starves.

And how he's going to explain that he DID have time to meet with Justin Bieber...

But he doesn't have time to meet with a First Nations chief, who is dying for her people, and is the suffering symbol of a new and mighty movement.

Or doesn't dare. Because of course he knows he can't defend his plans to allow Big Oil to despoil our lakes and rivers, or defend the way he is breaking Canadian treaties to satisfy foreign interests.

And he knows that even in her weakened condition Chief Spence would do to him.

What Trudeau did to Brazeau...

And the best news? Even the Con media agrees Great Gourmet Jello Leader is going to have to eat CROW.

There are justifications for Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s staunch (some would say stubborn) refusal to meet with Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence, who has been on a hunger strike since Dec. 11. None of them hold water politically. In this instance, yet again, the Conservatives have blundered into a deadfall trap of their own making. Extrication will be difficult. However, they have no option but to try.

Harper should have met with Spence immediately, nipping her movement in the bud. Doing so now will be deemed a climb-down. Nevertheless, he must do so. The alternative — to allow this woman to put her life in jeopardy, and perhaps die, for the sake of preserving political pride — cannot be contemplated.

Golly. Who knew a humble chief, and a new generation of First Nations youth, could make Stephen Harper look so bad eh?

Or so cowardly.

Or give him such a horrible case of political indigestion...

But isn't it WONDERFUL?

Now more than ever join the revolt against the Harper regime.

Support Chief Spence.

Support the Idle No More movement...

  1. I tell my two year old daughter just about every day she was born under the governmental boot heel of a very bad man. She knows Harper by sight and when she happens to get an unfortunate glimpse of him will say, "Daddy! Bad man!" This of course makes me smile. I was born under Pearson, my partner under Trudeau and now this fucking calamity!! It gets better? Here's hoping in 2013 it does.

    1. hi Steve...thanks for that sweet story. I always say the youth will save the world. I just hope I don't have to wait until your daughter does, or I might not be here. ;) But don't worry it will get better, after it gets worse. I've never seen so many people absolutely despise a Canadian Prime Minister, so time will catch up with him...

Just caught the news that Harper has agreed to meet with Spence. Hopefully the pressure keeps up and something meaningful and lasting comes as a result. I'm still skeptical but maybe, just maybe it might be the start of something.

    1. hi Way Way Up...I realize that it's hard to raise one's hopes when they have been dashed before. And I'm pretty sure that not much will come out of this meeting. Still, the important thing is that there is now a movement, and a new aboriginal awakening, and in the long run that's what counts....

Harper is giving Canada to Communist China. He is giving China the resources and resource jobs. Harper's omnibus bill permitted China to sue, any Canadians getting in China's way. China sued in BC, for the BC mining jobs.

Harper's omnibus bill, permits Harper to destroy any waterways, fish and F.N. hunting grounds of the F.N. For China's benefit. The F.N. nor any Canadian citizens, can take Harper's word on anything.

Canada's Democracy, Civil Rights and Liberties, the Charter, our Freedom of Speech and our Human Rights, are all vanishing. The waste of our tax dollars is obscene. Scores of Canadians say. Harper has no right to be P.M. They say Harper cheated to win the election, with his robo-call fraud.

Harper has no morals nor ethics, what-so-ever. This country will never recover, from Harper's horrendous damage, he forced upon us. Harper's behavior is so bizarre, I wonder his sanity?

    1. hi anonymous...I find Harper's behaviour both bizarre and deeply disturbing, but you shouldn't give up hope. The fact that so many Canadians feel like you do is encouraging, for the more people take their anger to the polls, the more easily we will defeat the Cons.
And think about it, won't that be a glorious day?
