The Cons Go After the Auditor General

Remember how I told you that Stephen Harper wanted an election sooner rather than later... before the Auditor General exposed the Porky Action Plan.

Well look who they are going after now.

A strategy memo from Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff’s communications director accuses the Harper government of deliberately leaking information to a friendly news organization to discredit the Auditor-General.

Auditor-General Sheila Fraser, one of the most respected bureaucrats in Ottawa, is to release several reports soon, which the Lague memo says “will likely cast the government in a bad light.”

These reports include of the infrastructure stimulus spending, the $1.3-billion on G8/G20 security “because of Stephen Harper’s terrible last-minute decision to hold the G8/G20 meetings in two places [Huntsville and Toronto],” Mr. Lague wrote.

With the help of their friends at QMI. And the parrot Corn Cob from the PMO.

QMI is part of the Sun chain, which recently hired former Harper communications director Kory Teneycke.

You know...Korny...Corn Cob Bob's evil daddy...

So now it's time to shoot the messenger BEFORE the facts come out. Now it's Sheila Fraser's turn.

And can you believe the nerve of these political thugs? They're complaining about a few hundred dollars when they spent BILLIONS?

Buying votes.

Two Conservative ridings were the biggest Quebec beneficiaries of a federal stimulus program set aside for rural areas, while other Tory-held areas received a considerable share of funds reserved for the province.

With OUR money.

And BTW...is it possible to be both corrupt AND incompetent?

Gawd. I mean oink oink. They don't call them Con porkers for nothing eh?

Yup. As I've always said, the census fiasco will soften them up. But the Porky Plan will DESTROY them.

The Cons know that of course. That's why they're so DESPERATE.

And judging from their absurd attempt to smear a decent Canadian like Sheila Fraser, back at the Conservative Talking Points Network (CTPN).

The Corn Cobs are obviously TERRIFIED...

You know, I think I'm going to enjoy this porky story a LOT.

I already LOVE bacon bits. Yummy.

But popcorn is even BETTER...

  1. Today's Toronto Sun editorial wants young people to become fit through mandatory military or volunteer service. I thought tax credits were supposed to solve our fatness problem.

"Let's pressure the school boards to re-introduce deportment and basic discipline as core objectives of education. And let's talk about a year of compulsory military or community service at age 18."

  3. Hey Simon! Oh Gawd! I go to Toronto; I neglect the blogosphere including my own blog and catching up now.

I catch bits and pieces from cp24 from my hotel room & at my parents' home and see that Baird the pitbull wants to 'cooperate' with the opposition. How nice of him. The only way I can see him to cooperate is for him to him to get a rabies shot for openers. Leaving would be even better.

Things appear to look up if I read the last Ipsos-Reid poll, but still, my optimism is cautious indeed.

Any ideas on how we can cause Steve to have a nervous breakdown?

My dad is doing much better these days. I think what would help his recovery further, as well as my sanity, is to get Steve out of office.

And yes, as that anonymous commenter mentioned over at Morton's musings, that Steve should fill out a mandatory census.

Cause, my inquiring mind wants to know how many times he flushes his toilet each and everyday.

  5. hi CK...I was wondering where you had gone. I hope you had a good time in my home away from home. And I'm glad you're dad is feeling better. And yes since you have been away the polls have been VERY pleasing. For the first time in a long time I feel that things are looking up.
I think that the census issue was the last straw for a lot of people, and that a cumulative effect is starting to hurt Harper.
    As for this:

Any ideas on how we can cause Steve to have a nervous breakdown?

No. Not yet. But as soon as I come up with one you'll be the first to know... :)
