Pajamas Media Says Nighty Nighty
Golly. How did I miss this excellent bed time story?
The blog network notion, which seemed to make plenty of sense a couple of years ago, looks a lot less appealing now. Latest evidence: Pajamas Media, which was supposed to sell ads for a group of right-leaning bloggers, is shutting down its ad network.
And the BEST thing is some of those right wing bloggers aren't too happy with what the Pajama Wanker's boss Roger L. Simon had to say about them:
"Actually that part of our business has been losing money from the beginning, so the people getting their quarterly checks from PJM were getting a form of stipend from us in the hopes that advertisers would start to cotton to blogs and we could possibly make a profit. Didn’t happen. No wonder those people are kicking and screaming now that they are off the dole. I might too. [What's their beef? I thought most of them were free marketeer libertarians or something.-ed. Go figure.]
Really unhappy.
Here’s the thing, Roger: you never once told us that the blog network you kept insisting was the next great thing “has been losing money from the beginning” — at least, not to our faces, and certainly not in any way that would suggest that you were carrying us like welfare recipients.
The fact is, Roger, not everyone was given millions of dollars of venture capital to blow through. So before you go comparing people YOU SOLICITED TO JOIN YOUR ORGANIZATION to people taking welfare (you ever try paying a hooker with food stamps?), you might want to think about where it is “your” money is coming from.
OMG. Conservative bloggers calling themselves welfare recipients and HOOKERS?
Slipping out of their pajamas and their housecoats....and into mini skirts and high heels?
I guess they really hobbled rather than RAN out of history eh? Screaming about food stamps and blaming their pimp.
But seriously....don't you love to see the right-wing dumbosphere going down in FLAMES?
Mayday. Mayday.
Encore. Encore.
Gosh. Maybe I should lend them my emergency button.
Brace.Brace. We're going into the Hudson!!!!
Muahahahaha....
I LOVE it when the invisible hand of the market spanks these clowns! Thanks for the bedtime story, Simon! I'll sleep well tonight. :)
ReplyDeleteI read about this in the morning and got sidetracked. As much as I would love to sing the death knell of right wing bullshit purveyors, we’re not quite there yet, but it seems that in tough times, the old bullshit baffles brains approach to society loses some of its appeal.
ReplyDeleteeh. The Monsters under their beds were their own.
ReplyDeleteHi Dr Prole....your very welcome
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I wasn't able to sleep well at all. My ribs were too sore from laughing so much...
Hi bruce... I'm afraid you're right there is still too much life in The Beast.
ReplyDeleteBut thanks to the recession they created the right in the U.S. is intellectually bankrupt...and not likely to return to power anytime soon.
So the right wing blogosphere is living on fumes and sooner or later will realize it...I hope :)
Hi DeBeauxOs...yes there really was a monster and it gobbled them up... EXCELLENT
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon, awesome.;^) I missed some of the the PJ brigade not wanting their lights put out.
