Fraser Anning is an Australian Senator and an avowed bigot.
He has railed against women's rights and gay rights, and other progressive causes. But he saves most of his venom for Muslims.
He has called for Australia to prevent them from entering the country, as part of what he calls the "final solution" to the "immigration problem.
And if that wasn't appalling enough his reaction to the Christchurch massacre was even more depraved.
When he blamed the mass killing on Muslim immigrants.
“I am utterly opposed to any form of violence within our community, and I totally condemn the actions of the gunman,” Anning said. “However, whilst this kind of violent vigilantism can never be justified, what it highlights is the growing fear within our community, both in Australia and New Zealand of the increasing Muslim presence.”
The senator claimed “left-wing politicians and media” would blame gun laws and nationalist views, but “the real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place.”
And if you read his full statement it is even more disgusting. As is this tweet which could have emerged form the rear orifice of many a Con in this country....
All of which helps explain why so many all over the world cheered when the Egg Boy let him have it.
The 17-year-old Will Connolly was roughed up by Anning's thuggish supporters, one of whom kicked him in the stomach. After a right-wing terrorist murdered 49 Muslims, this far-right Australian Senator tried to blame the attack on Muslims. He 100% deserved this egg to the face.— Ryan Knight 🇳🇿 (@ProudResister) March 16, 2019
Long live #EggBoy! pic.twitter.com/4SEILrdgSt
But he seemed fine minutes later when he was escorted out of the building by police...
Who released him without charges.
But not before his heroic egging was trending number one on Twitter in Canada and the U.S.
And he was being hailed as a hero all over the world.
With millions no doubt sharing this sentiment...
And leaving me to say yes.... I know... but....
I don’t normally approve of any kind of violence, but since it was only an egg, and the bigot deserved it, I think I’ll make an exception. https://t.co/06mv6CvKx3— 🇨🇦 Simon 🏴🍀 (@montrealsimon) March 16, 2019
You go, hero! Someone give this kid a medal! Now I'm waiting for some courageous Canadian to hit Andy with a Canadian goose egg... "Goose egg" also being the number of seats I hope his deplorable party ends up with in the fall!
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie...I'll settle for Scheer laying an egg hopefully on the heads of the Con media...🐣
DeleteHave you see this one yet? Non-violent but NSFW language.
ReplyDeleteHi Marie...thanks for that clip. It was a good one...almost as good as an ostrich egg...😉
Deleteheard about the "egg" thing last night and laughed, omg, wish I could have seen it. Now of course violence of any kind is not to be condoned, but an egg plant,.......kind of like saying breakfast is served.
ReplyDeleteThe haters, such as this Senators, would be hating some other group/person if there were not Muslims to hate. That is what they do, hate. Makes them feel better about themselves. If it weren't Muslims, it would be Jews, Catholics, Aboriginal People, Greeks, etc. Having lived in Vancouver B.C. since the days it being a back water, some where on the west coast, haters have hated/disliked, objected to: Chinese, Japanese--interned them; Germanys, Dutch, Italians, Portuguese, Greeks, South Asians, Vietnamese, back to the Chinese. Nothing changes about what they say about the group, just the group.
Hi e.a.f....yes, planting an egg is less violent than throwing one, and as you say a good way of saying breakfast is served. As for that bigot Senator you'd need a menu to write down all the people he hates. We have some nasty Con critters in our Senate, but fortunately none as bad as him...
DeleteWho released him without charges.
ReplyDeleteWho with any luck said something along the lines of "well done but try not to get us called out next time.
On the other hand, the NZ Prime Minister gave an amazing speech. "They are us".
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I never noticed that someone born outside of the country was foreign. Spoke a bit funny but so did my cousin from Petawawa
A country for everyone becomes a country for no one. Canada is quickly becoming a hotel and shopping centre, a post-national state with no mainstream identity.
DeleteTranslation of anon 9:43: a country without white supremacy becomes a country that has to embrace a mix of cultures and ideas, and that scares me. ~ filcher
DeleteHi jrk...I understand the police are considering charging the Senator for punching the teenager, but I don't dare hope for something that good. On the other hand I have always admired Jacinda Arden and she didn't disappoint me. "They are us" indeed...
DeleteHi anon@9:43 AM....Nonsense. I live my identity quite happily as a Scottish Canadian, I just celebrate all the other identities as well, that help make this country more interesting. And our collective identity is defined by our Canadian values which just happen to include tolerance...
Deletehow true Simon, more groups, more celebrations. I know can leave the Christmas lights up until after Chinese New Year! its all a bonus to me, go through Christmas, New years, Ukrainian Christmas and New Year, and Chinese New Year. If I get the lights up early and Dhaliwal is late, I can start the lights earlier and then there is all the extra eating. This year Ramadan is starts in May and ends 4 June and of course, more eating. Ramadan is more serious though during the month but it is good because we could all use a little time reflection.
DeleteTo those who complain about other religions, ethnic groups, etc. get over yourselves, we weren't the first people here either, unless you're Indigenous.
I'm sure there are Indigenous people in Australia who wish the Senator went back to where his ancestors came from.
3.2% of the population of Canada are Muslim. About the same percentage as are gay. What is anon 9:00's policy change for the gay menace? Should we stop letting the gays in? Send the entire relocated gay populations back to the gay land? Hint, they're born that way right here in about that percentage.
DeleteThe "Moslems" appear to behave like every other group of immigrants. The second generation speaks our languages, acts much like us, doesn't have huge families and interacts respectfully with all the other communities.
The real problem with immigrants is they come here with nothing, and a pent up desire to do something with their lives. Most of the people like anon 9:00 would be like those who stayed in the old country and didn't try to improve their lives, content to live in squalor and complain about it being someone else's fault.
Perhaps if anon 9:00 did something with their life, they could actually find someone to have a family with and prop up their ethnic group's population. Instead of supporting criminalizing abortion and decriminalizing rape, do it the honest way.
Waste of a good egg. A rotting fish, pie in the face would have been much more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to note how someone on the left attacks someone on the right though. No guns and no one hurt other than the ego and credibility of a racist pig, immortalized from that egg breaking moment to eternity. Thank you Will Connoly.
JD
Hi JD....it might have been a little hard to get a rotting fish or a cream pie past Anning's thuggish security. But where was that ostrich or kiwi egg when we needed one? However I did have two boiled eggs for breakfast this morning in honour of Will Connolly....
DeleteI want policy changes, I want a public discussion of why exactly Western governments are relocating entire populations of Moslems into Western countries.
ReplyDeleteHi anon....Where did you get that ridiculous idea that Western governments are "relocating entire populations of Moslems into Western countries?" Reading the Rebel? As I've said before, all I ask from immigrants or refugees is that they respect our Canadian values, which is something I suggest you need to do yourself...
DeleteAnon 9:00 is quoting that "great replacement" nonsense, popular on the racist right in Francophone as well as Anglophone countries, and doubtless everywhere. I guess bringing in a bunch of Gaels after the Highland Clearances and the Potato Famine started the trend, eh?
DeleteI had an old caricature from Le Devoir about an Algonquinian village wondering how to deal with those weird Catholic fundamentalists from France who refused to integrate - there was also a coureur du bois or two who had "Indianised" as many young men did, to the despair of the colony's rulers... Can't put my hands on this - from the days of the Bouchard-Taylor Commission.
Hi Simon
ReplyDeleteHappy Saint Pattys day! Planning on spending part of the day drinking Guinness and getting back to my roots by listening to Irish pub songs about drinking, womanizing, fighting, prison and melancholy reminiscing. All of the things that kill joy multiculturalism has taken the fun out of. That said I also reflect on the unbelievable injustice and hardship some generations suffered and how Canada was a chance for a new beginning with a sense of justice and fairness for all.
RT
Hi RT....Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you and yours, and all the wonderful Irish people. Just be careful the little people don't drag you to their bar under the giant oak tree, or it might be a while before you sober up enough to write one of your great comments. I of course am a Scottish-Canadian so I don't drink, which makes me either very respectable or very boring...☘☘☘☘☘
