The Hijab Girl and the Bigot Cons
By now I'm sure most of you have heard the story of the 11-year-old Muslim girl in Toronto who claimed a bigot had attacked her.
And how that turned out not to be true. Just a child's make believe story.
Like many Canadians I was relieved the attack didn't happen, and both disappointed and mildly annoyed that the girl lied.
But she is just a child, and what really disgusts me is the way the Cons and other right-wing scum are blowing up this story for the lowest of reasons.
And using it to attack the girl, her mother, other Muslims, and even Justin Trudeau.
Like the grotesque professional bigot Ezra Levant who is demanding that the child's mother be charged as well as asking for an absurd apology.
I want an apology from the Islamophile politicians, and media, who were so quick to believe this obviously fake story, and smear Canadians.
I want an apology and an explanation from the school board and the police for permitting this bizarre exploitation of this child for PR purposes.
But mainly, I want the mother charged.
When he is the one who should apologize, for using the incident as just another fund raising opportunity.
And if anybody is charged Levant should be the one, for promoting Islamophobia at a time when hate crimes targeting Muslims in this country have more more than tripled in the last few years.
And include that murderous assault on a Quebec City mosque almost a year ago, that killed six worshippers and wounded nineteen others...
The murderous assault that Levant and his gang tried to make us believe for the longest time, was carried out by a Muslim instead of an Islamophobic bigot like him.
Which just happens to be another good reason to ask Andrew Scheer to explain why he hired Hamish Marshall, the co-founder of the filthy hate mongering Rebel, to be the Cons new campaign manager.
What was he thinking? And when does he plan to fire him?
Before Canadians start calling the Cons the Rebel Party.
But sadly it's not just Scheer and Levant who have been playing bigot games or making idiots out of themselves.
Some progressive snowflakes have been wringing their hands, and claiming that the lies of a child have hurt the struggle against hate. Which is also nonsense.
The war against bigotry will continue until the last Con bigot is defeated.
One Nazi is enough...
In the name of our glorious dead, we will not allow the same horror to happen here...
And of course, if there is any justice, Ezra Levant, the professional bigot.
Will one day be sent to the place where he belongs...
Sad!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen...It is sad. Sad that bigots would seek to take advantage of a child's lie, and use it to attack a minority group that is already regularly victimized. If that bigotry is not challenged and put down, it will end up killing this country...
DeletePretty sure the 11 year old was just doing what she was told. The mother should be charged with public mischief.
ReplyDeleteThis hijab hoax was an international story smearing Canadians as racist. That's why the CBC and Trudeau picked it up so quickly.
When was the last time you heard about a press conference at a school involving a child "victim"? 45 minutes after the police were called the CBC was running a huge story about this. Politicians came out in droves. Stories were written about Islamophobia all weekend, from all different angles.
Imagine if an 11 year old had her cross ripped off on her way to school. It probably wouldn't even make local news.
Politicians and the MSM just LOVE a good racist outrage story... so much so they don't let silly things like a proper police investigation get in the way.
Hi anon...what makes you so sure that the child was doing what her mother told her to do? Children make up stories all the time. Why do you Cons are such suckers for conspiracy theories? I know you have enlarged fear glands but that's ridiculous. Secondly, the school may have shown appalling judgement by putting an 11-year-old in front of a battery of cameras, but the idea that they did it to smear Canadians as racists is insane. As crazy as your fellow Trumpkins who claimed that Hillary Clinton was killing and eating children in a Washington pizzeria. Finally I don't disagree that this story was blown out of proportion, but the main reason that happened is that anti-Muslim bigotry is now so widespread it was easy to believe that something like that could happen. And for that you Cons are to blame...
Delete"I want answers about the exploitation of this child" -- Like Ezra gives a damn about the kid's well-being. If anything does happen to this girl or members of her family as a result of this, the blood will be on his hands. Prosecute with prejudice. This is persecution and an outright witch hunt the likes of which haven't been seen since, well, 1930s Germany. Levant is a traitor to the memory of his own people. If Dr. King was alive today, he'd give self-serving kapos like Ezra a righteous condemnation that would make his head spin right off its screwy hinge.
ReplyDeleteBTW, speaking of Nazis with blood on their hands, the U.S. is meeting in Vancouver with several other countries to discuss the North Korea situation. China, however, isn't going, because their delegation has determined (and rightly so) that it won't be a productive meeting, on account of Trump throwing a monkey wrench in the negotiations process every step of the way by running his mouth off on Twitter and poking Li'l Rocket Man. Not to mention insulting China over and over again about phony bullshit like illegal oil transfers to Pyongyang, which all come from actual fake-news hoaxes he gets from "Fox and Fiends."
I hope Trudeau is doing plenty of yoga out on that town hall trail to keep his own stress levels under control. He's a good guy. He doesn't deserve the load of fecal material that the dotard and his northern acolytes, like Levant, Scheer and those heckler plants in the crowd, are dumping on him like a herd of elephants overdosing on laxatives.
Is it Olympic season yet? Let the games begin... 🙄
They published a "hate crime" story within 45 minutes of the Toronto police announcement and organized a press conference for the eleven-year-old "victim."
DeleteIs that normal?
Liberal cabinet ministers, Premier Kathleen Wynne, Mayor John Tory and Justin Trudeau all Tweeted their outrage before any charges had been laid.
The story turned out to be a fabrication.
Canadians were smeared and divided over a lie.
Hi Jackie...I too could hardly read Levant's grotesque diatribe without feeling like throwing up. It is starting to resemble the way that the Nazis began their demonization of the Jews. Levant has always been a low creature, but this is as low as I have ever seen him go. Justin Trudeau is a decent person but it's now a very thin red line separating us from disaster...
DeleteHI anon@3:06 pm...What on earth are you talking about? The CBC published a story within the normal time for any news organization in a highly competitive news environment like Toronto. As for the School board it took four hours before arranging a newser, no doubt to deal with all the requests it was getting from other news organizations. And for a Con to complain about smearing and dividing Canadians is the absolute limit. Do you seriously think that even if the story had been true, it would have damaged Canada's reputation more than that mosque shooting? Honestly, your bigotry is showing, and it's making you look like a moron...
Delete"Which just happens to be another good reason to ask Andrew Scheer to explain why he hired Hamish Marshall, the co-founder of the filthy hate mongering Rebel, to be the Cons new campaign manager."
ReplyDeleteHamish's time at the rebel would qualify him as a professional in bigotry, division and all the other odious traits of the rebel. This is the skill set Scheer was after and that's what he got so it's no wonder he blushes and runs when asked about hateful Hamish. There will come a time however when Schmear will have no place to run and I cant wait to hear his reasoning for hiring this person who was up to the eyeballs involved with the rebel.
As for the young girl, it is very sad and disapointing for her and her family. Not so much for what happened but for how the Con media will play it out.
JD
Hi JD...I could draw up a list of some of the religious fanatics and alt-right operatives that surround Scheer, but none can serve as a better example, or warning, than Hamish Marshall. Although his track record is not that great, he is skilled at the kind of digital warfare that is sure to feature prominently in the next election. And if we can link him and Scheer to The Rebel we can we can neutralize that threat, and bring them both down...
Deletegood for you simon
ReplyDeleteHi anon...thanks, but what else could I say or do. I've been fighting bullies since the age of thirteen or fourteen, and there are no worse bullies than the cowardly Cons and the human scum that work at The Rebel...
DeleteLiterally an hour after the attack there was a press conference going on at the school. Ridiculous reporting.
ReplyDeleteHi anon ...how many times have I got to beat this into the heads of you Cons? The CBC broke the story quite quickly and several hours later the school board decided to hold a newser to deal with all the other news operations who were clamouring for information. That's what happens all the time, so enough with the conspiracy theories...

ReplyDeleteHi anon...save your Nazi theories for Levant and his friends at the Roach Motel. We don't have a "Muslim problem" we have a bigot problem and a Con infestation. And we don't have to repatriate any Muslims, we need to repatriate the traitor Cons in our midst to the creepy Trumpland where they belong....
DeleteAn ELEVEN!!! year old child told a lie and everyone is shocked, shocked I say, that it happened. Please get off your high horses every Rebel follower and tell me that as an 11 year old, you never once lied. Hypocrites every one of them.
ReplyDeleteHi Yvonne...I know, it's unbelievable isn't it? Those dysfunctional Cons aren't even aware that children sometimes make up stories. I can't decide where they were raised, at some industrial chicken farm, or on the island of Dr Moreau...🙀
DeleteIf the Mother of this girl says that she has been here in Canada for 20 plus years, why the full face covering as this was not a thing we ever saw in Canada even 20 years ago. Personally, I think the mother of this child should have her kid taken away as clearly, it was the mother that told and guided her daughter to think and do this either just to help along with the race war mongering thing and probably because she is a radical Islamist that deserves to be at the minimum, charged for mischief. the 11 year old girl needs physiological intervention and immediate help. Think of the police and the resources used all for nothing. This at a tax expense and quickly swept under the rug. As one of the others who commented said, and that was, if a young girls cross had of gotten ripped off, it would probably amount to no big deal. Enough is enough already people, if these folks lie about this and that, how does this benefit Canadians. Stop bringing them all in as they do not wish to be Canadian and assimilate into our society. The pre planed migration and invasion of Islam in the western world must end because if it don't, they will end it for us. If our spineless and gutless Priminister actually stood up for out Boarders, deported those who lie and commit criminal offenses and cut funding and all the benefits and perks that the rest of Canadians actually earned their entire work lives for, trust me, the freeloaders probably wound want to come over in droves like they are and will continue to do so as long as it don't bother JT and the Liberals destroying this country!
ReplyDeleteTHE YOUNG CHILD IS ELEVEN YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!
DeleteENOUGH WITH YOUR ISLAMAPHOBIA.
Anonymous 4:04 PM,
Delete"if these folks lie about this and that, how does this benefit Canadians." When we hold an eleven year old girl to higher standards than the leader of the Opposition, and the President of the US, the world is out of balance. I am not sure if we can measure the benefit to Canada from one so young, except to say the benefit to Canada could be tremendous, as she has a full life still ahead of her, and her worth has not yet been written, except for us to say "she is..."
" The pre planed migration and invasion of Islam in the western world" Yes, because the Islamist's forced the US to topple the secular leaders who were limiting the power of the fundamentalists, just so that they could have war ravished countries, destroyed infrastructure, looted history, ineffectual governments, and a need to immigrate to Western nations.
" If our spineless and gutless Priminister actually stood up for out Boarders, " Outboarders used to be handled by Department of Fisheries, and MoE I think at one time, but I am not sure why you are bringing motorboats into the discussion. If you meant boarders, they also have rental agreements denoting their rights and obligations.
I am not sure what a Priminister is, but I imagine you mean Prime Minister, but could someone be called gutless, if he is holding town hall meetings that are open to the public, something our last PM was reluctant to do unless the audience was first vetted as friendly. It is brave to face those who oppose you, and cowardly to avoid public debate. So I think you are speaking about another person than PM Trudeau, I just don't have a clue who, though.
"deported those who lie and commit criminal offenses and cut funding and all the benefits and perks that the rest of Canadians actually earned their entire work lives for" If we did this, then who would be left for the ConForm party supporters to vote for?
" trust me, the freeloaders probably wound want to come over in droves like they are" Trust you? I can barely understand you, and I worry you are trying to sell me a car. I have seen very little evidence that immigrants are lazy or troublesome, it does appear a lot of problems stem from the racist attitudes of others who target minorities, however.
Hi anon @4:04pm...what on earth are you talking about? What has the fact that the mother has been here for 20 years have to do with the fact that she covers her face? Maybe she decided to do that six months ago, and what has that got to do with anything? Also who are you to declare that the child should be taken away from her mother? You sound like one of those Christian fanatics who thought it would be a good idea to take native children away from their parents. As for the rest of your absurd bigoted comment please take it to a psychiatrist. Maybe he or she can help you, because I certainly can't...
DeleteHi Filcher...you are clearly a braver person than I am. I tried answering that deranged bigot, but soon felt like I was losing my mind. I have a scientific background and that kind of nonsense tends to make smoke pour out of my ears. And now I'm terrified the Priminister might get me...🙄
DeleteIt's getting hard to tell where the Rebel ends and where the Scheer Cons begin. What's clear however is that neither group is acting as one would expect Canadians to behave. Levant's people are right out of The Walking Dead and Scheer's gang might as well be Americans.
ReplyDeleteHi anon@4:37 pm...I feel the same way. I can't tell which end of the snake is the Rebel and which end belongs to the Cons. Or to put it slightly more crudely, which end is the head and which end is the asshole. But you're right, neither cult acts like Canadians should, and may I suggest that both are the Walking Dead...
DeleteThe Canadian Cons are on a mission to get back to the good old biblical days. Their strategy is to exploit opportunities, especially those that require little effort with perceived big payoffs. War and globalization has presented them with opportunities to prey on human emotions such as fear and suspicion as well as the exploitation of natural resources required to feed global demand. The two go hand in hand, the resources such as oil provides the funding for minimum human capital where as the emotional game provides the turbulence to take down established political structures. The downside to their strategy is that emotional polarization and associated turbulence opens the door to other predators that will destroy them as well if it is overplayed. Although its difficult the best strategy for the Liberal government is to frame the statistical/science based trends such as hate crime that require corrective action and not get drawn into specific minor incidents that can be levered to increase polarization. These incidents should be addressed at the local level... a difficult task with the Cons fanning the emotional flames and the media ever watchful for news that sells.
ReplyDeleteRT
Hi RT...I agree with you, the school board should not have exposed a child that young to the media, and the Liberals should not have been drawn into it. I realize that Justin Trudeau felt that he had to speak out because he's a decent person. But getting involved in a situation like that only pours fuel on the fires of bigotry, and makes the situation. I recently read that 46 % of Canadians have negative feelings about Muslims so one needs to tread carefully. In the time of Trump bigotry is a powerful weapon that could catapult the Cons to power, and tear this country apart...
ReplyDeleteIt's the crassness of the response that is the most telling to me. Let's be honest, how many of us really got that emotionally invested in this story that warrants this level of outrage, particularly those on the right with a vested interest in drumming up anti-Muslim sentiment? I didn't even hear of the story before it was deemed a hoax.
ReplyDeleteNo, the lesson here is one of media pressures, which the CBC outlines here (a subject it knows all too well given its history of being abused by right-wingers): http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/hijab-story-hoax-how-did-it-happen-1.4490323
Apparently the lessons of Balloon Boy back in 2009 have been quickly forgotten. The need for news outlets to cram social media feeds with clickbait has only gotten worse since then, and it now does it at lightning speed. I just wish that a little introspection was in order, because the culpability for the viral nature of the initial story falls on everyone. I'd like to hear that apology first.
I hope this isn't veering off topic, but I'm proud that the campaign to buy an accessible, adapted house for Aymen Derbali, the man who confronted the mosque killer and took seven bullets to save other worshippers' lives, has reached over half its goal:
ReplyDelete$279,882CAD funded of $400,000 CAD goal

https://www.launchgood.com/project/united_with_aymen_derbali__tous_unis_pour_aymen#!/
But the campaign aims to reach the goal by the end of this month.
