Trump Caesar and Ezra Levant's Rebel Loonies

It's a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar. It's being staged in New York's Central Park.

And it's controversial because its Caesar looks a lot like Donald Trump, and his supporters can't stand the sight of their hero being assassinated.

And neither it seems can Ezra Levant.

For yesterday one of his Rebel Media loonies was arrested after rushing the stage.

Two right-wing activists interrupted the Friday evening performance of a controversial production of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” in New York’s Central Park, causing a stir on social media — where numerous videos of the protest proliferated — and resulting in one woman’s arrest.

In the videos, a woman identified as Laura Loomer, an employee of the far-right website Rebel Media, can be seen storming the stage during the scene of the title character’s assassination, shouting “Stop the normalization of political violence against the right! This is unacceptable!”

While another right-wing extremist who once worked for Levant, also made a fool of himself.

Within the commotion, a second pro-Trump protester, Jack Posobiec, can be seen standing and yelling in the audience, “You are all Goebbels!” and “The blood of Steve Scalise is on your hands!”

As you can see here.

And while the protest was both amateurish and cringeworthy, it didn't take Levant long to turn it into a fundraising opportunity.

As only that shameless hustler could.

Which only made him look even more disgusting...

Or even more of a hypocrite.

Especially since the play has been staged before with an Obama-like Caesar. It condemns rather than encourages political violence.

And Trump is a would be Caesar...

And a budding dictator.

But then Levant is a professional bigot, and a screaming beggar.

And the best way to hit him where it hurts, is to get advertisers to boycott The Rebel, by reporting them to this site.

That campaign is really working. Levant must be hemorrhaging dollars out of every orifice.

The more money he loses, the more desperate he will become.

And the more likely that low life hate monger will end up in the place he belongs...

You are trying to normalize violence against the right as well.

It's crazy how msm does not report on scheer's links to these scumbags

I'm signing back up for The Rebel. If Ezra is pissing progressives off he must be doing something right.

Where? He said people should hit Ezra in his WALLET and his EGO just like they have with Breitbart. Did you condemn the constant barrage of Obama memes with a rope around his neck or comments from unhinged morons on Rebel videos saying things like "the wrong Trudeau died, someone should fix that"? Abe Lincoln really did get assassinated. So did JFK. These are historical facts. Are Steven Spielberg and Oliver Stone just as guilty of normalizing violence against presidents as the performers of a 400-year-old play that substitutes a present-day dictatorial leader for one from the past?

Art is art. It is not the responsibility of artists to alter their work because of the possibility that lunatics who can't differentiate fiction from reality will take the message the wrong way. Nintendo is not responsible for Adam Lanza playing Call of Duty ad nauseam to train himself in how to shoot up a kindergarten class, any more than Marilyn Manson is responsible for the Columbine massacre or Charlie Hebdo for, well, the terrorist attack against Charlie Hebdo. Anyone who goes out and shoots Queen Elizabeth after watching The Naked Gun is the one guilty of a crime. Not the filmmakers.

As Bill Shakes once said, "There's many a man that has more hair than wit."

Thanks. There doesn't seem to be much of a point in anything he does, so that must be his purpose. But, although I find his shtick entertaining at times, I really don't think he's succeeding. Wait a minute - I forgot the money. Is there any way I can access his stuff without adding a click to his revenue stream?

hi anon 9:41 am...don't be absurd, I'm doing no such thing. And I have never promoted violence on this blog. What I am doing is mocking your Great Leader, and the grotesque bigots at The Rebel. And since I enjoy that so much I think I'll keep on doing that if you don't mind....

hi anon 8:03pm...exactly, well said. The right-wingers are the ones who contaminated politics in the U.S. with their deranged hate speech, and the violent threats aimed at Obama and others. I have all kinds of pictures of Obama and Hillary Clinton with ropes around their necks, and who can forget when the senile beast Ted Nugent told Obama to "suck my machine gun."
As for the loons from The Rebel nuthouse disrupting Julius Caesar if they lose any more IQ points we're going to have to water them....

hi MC...well good for you. Levant is apparently building himself a $4 million mansion in a fancy neighbourhood in Toronto. And what with all his legal bills, he needs all the sucker money he can get...

hi John...it's OK you can visit his site without contributing a penny. Although he will count your visit as a message of support, and claim that half the people in Canada are following. When in fact it's just the usual suspects reading that garbage over and over again....

hi anon 9:42 am...yes, it is deeply disturbing that the MSM doesn't think that the leader of the opposition's warm relationship with a far right hate site isn't a story worth covering.
But if we keep up the pressure on social media, sooner or later they are going to have some explaining to do...

At least you're up front that all you're after is reinforcement of your existing aggrievement. Us progressives, we're actually concerned about policy, policies that actually help progressives and conservatives alike.
