Donald Trump's Horrible Saturday Night

I think it's safe to say that Donald Trump had a lousy Saturday night. And either ended up climbing the golden drapes in his Mar-a-Lago estate, or rolling on the floor and biting the carpet.

For he's been ranting and raving and going after another judge for daring to block his bigoted travel ban. And getting nowhere.

The thousands of noisy demonstrators laying siege to his estate must have him shoving not one but two tiny fingers in each hairy ear.

And when he watched Saturday Night Live he must have exploded.

For not only did their portrayal of Trump and his sinister consiglieri Steve Bannon make his government look like even more like a horror show.

It also must have made him feel paranoid...

Or should I say even more paranoid. Because according to reports he's been noticing the attention Bannon has been getting in the media, and he's NOT pleased...

Especially since Bannon has already had to be reminded that he's NOT the president.

And if that wasn't enough to ruin Trump's evening, then there was Melissa McCarthy playing his press secretary Sean Spicer...

Which also must have humiliated and enraged the orange oaf, and will probably prove fatal for Spicer. Trump has already threatened to fire him for not dressing properly, and not being forceful enough.

And after McCarthy's sketch, nobody will ever be able to look at Spicer the same way again...

Or take anything he says seriously.

And at this rate it won't be long before Trump himself gets the hook. Because his personal ratings are also going through the floor.

President Trump has the highest disapproval rating of any new president ever polled, according to a new survey. A majority of respondents, 53 percent, disapprove of how Trump is handling his job in the CNN/ORC International poll released Friday, while 44 percent approve.

He's in trouble, so is his wall.

Trump's executive order to construct a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border also faces opposition, with 60 percent of Americans surveyed by CNN opposed to the proposal.

The river of regret is becoming a flood.

Some top members of his own party are now questioning his emotional stability.

So it isn't too hard to imagine how this story might end...

First they love you, then they hate you, then they laugh at you.

And then they declare you unfit to be president.

And it's all over...

Then they get Spence, right. That's scary.

There are more reasons they'l be watching the Toilet Bowl at Mal de Lago Simon; their hopes and plans are circling the drain this weekend.

The nominee for army secretary was last seen in the Virginia suburbs peddling a bicycle backwards as fast as he could go. He was shouting something about conflict of interest, betrayal and jail. The subtext is the coup President Bannon has initiated and its danger for Trump appointees.

Also to be flushed is the princess dress business of little Ivanka now shoved aside as the crazies take over. She and her hubby were supposed to the filter of sanity: so much for that.

I think its 4 injunctions and an appeal lost by short finger donnie in the past few days. This is a new record for failure by a president.

Read an interesting article by a physician about medication he is taking for hair growth. Sexual disfunction and emotional instability are side effects.

I laughed so hard at SNL clips from last night....and CNN has declined to have Conway as a guest today. Thank goodness, she is painful to watch.

I normally don't like to see Nazis and other hatemongers get press time, but it warmed my soul to see Bannon's ugly, rotting, alcoholic's face on the cover of Time magazine.
Won't be much longer now...

Spence and Conway have shown themselves as not up to the task. Bannon's Pomeranian may soon tire of having his tail twisted, given the poor results on that front too. Is anyone capable of reasoned thought in the remaining group?

Hi Simon, this doesn't really belong here but it's the easiest way to send you this link: http://www.thepoke.co.uk/2017/02/01/scots-poem-calling-trump-tangerine-gabshite-walloper-wins-award/

If you haven't already seen it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! :-)

Pence is unlikely to start a nuclear war. I also think NAFTA and NATO are safe under him.

there were reports last evening that daughter Ivanka was the one who stopped Trump from signing an anti LBGT order of some sort.

Its only been two weeks but its been said that "history is long periods of boredom followed with short periods of terror". We are certainly living in the latter period.
I tried to follow some logic as to why Thump would ban immigration from certain countries and allow others that are known to have terrorist affiliation. The only thing I could deduce is that although 911 was indirectly sponsored with Sunni money they were the beneficiaries of the war on terror as it generally targeted countries following the Shiite branch of Islam. Al Qaeda served its purpose, the operatives are known and not a personal threat to Trump at present.
However by cosying up to Russia, Trump has essentially upset the apple cart and abandoned the ISIS branch of the Sunni operatives trying to overthrow Assad and weaken the Shiite "axis of evil". If none of the operatives were US sponsored he has nothing to worry about but if some had US affiliation and travel documents then he does, hence the ban. Its the bay of pigs all over again, operatives get extremely upset when abandoned mid fight.
Is it logical defensive action on Trump's part or just crazy wall type propaganda?
Who knows but outcomes could cement the growing movement against Muslim and Jewish discrimination in the US or on the other hand fuel Armageddon if there are operatives that achieve revenge. He is a very vulnerable man, prone to extreme response!

hi anon 9:35 AM... I agree with anon 5:44 PM. Spence may be a religious fanatic, a misogynist and a homophobe, but Trump is a madman and I'm not sure we will survive him...

hi rumleyfips...yes, the Mal de Lago gang just keep getting scarier by the day. It seems Bannon is pulling Trump's strings, and forcing out any moderate voices that could help rein him in. And unless Bannon can be removed from the Oval Office, preferably in handcuffs, goodness knows where he might take us, or whether we will survive to put them all on trial...

Simon said...

hi e.a.f...yes I read that story too, and I found it encouraging. But now that Bannon seems to have forced even his beloved Ivanka off Trump's knees, I fear for our future....

hi TS...oh no, and to think that I thought Trump had a coke problem. Who knew it would be his hair that finally finished us off? As for Conway, I think CNN should invite her back, but only if she wears that French Revolution costume, so we call her Madame Guillotine, and laugh like there was no tomorrow...

hi anon....yes, it was apparently seeing Bannon on the cover of Time magazine, that began to fuel Trump's fears that old Nazi might replace him. Hopefully many Americans will also see that cover and ask themselves how far has their country fallen?

Simon said...

hi icy...I don't know the answer, but I fear that only James Mattis can restrain Trump now. And since they call him Mad Dog I'm not feeling too optimistic....

hi martin...how nice to hear from you again. And thank you for that great poem. Although I must admit I found parts of it almost as hard to understand as the distinctive dialect spoken by some people in Glasgow. It did make me smile which is a precious commodity these days. And I think I'm going to start calling Trump, Numpty Dumpty in the hope that he'll end up in the same condition as poor old Humpty... ;)

Simon said...

hi RT...I you sure you didn't get that backwards? And that long periods of boredom are followed by even longer periods of terror. Because quite frankly I don't know how I am going to survive the next four years, let alone the next four weeks. But as to your question about why Trump's ban seems so illogical I fear that you are giving the man too much credit. He isn't capable of such complex reasoning. I think he's just sparing countries where he has no investments, while using the others to fool his dumb followers into believing his promise to keep "Radical Islamic Terrorists" out of the U.S.A. And of course, the more decent people complain about the ban, the more his supporters love it...

A NY Times piece said Trump likes to watch TV news late at night in his bathrobe. Now Soicer says he doesn't think Trump even owns a bathrobe. Saying Trump owns a bathrobe is considered fake news. 8-)
